THE YELLOWDOG'S

1969 Buick LeSaber
Here is the car I have had the most fun with. If you have'nt allready looked at The Origin of the YellowDog I recomend that you take a look. This Is my Cruizer Bruizer Car I have
Raced for the past 3 year's. It's been one hard car to kill.
And belive me a lot of people have tried.
Ok From the Begining, about 4 years ago
I bought this car from a man for $150.00
When I found it most people would have
consider it DEAD. My father says that I have this sense about cars and there potential, and for this old heap it payed
off. I put 4 tires on it and dragged it to
my grandmother's house. At the time she
was the only person that would give me a place to keep the car. My mother
wasn't going to allow me to keep an old junk car at the house. After a little bit of tinkering and about  30 bucks I got the old "350 4 brl" runing. It did'nt smoke or rattle so I figured I might have somthing to work with. After some brake work and a few odd's and end's, I put tags on it and started driving it to work as a second car. My logic was I had bought it in November and race season did'nt start until March. This gave me time to limber up the engine and work out any bugs It had. According to the man I bought the car from it sat in the field behind
his house for about 7 years. I think driving it before I raced it helped make the
engine last as long as it did.
One month before the
season started I took it off
the road and got it ready
to race. This pic. is what it
looked like before I ever
hit the track, (or better)
before the track hit me!
I would tell you what kind
of illeagal things I did to
make it fast, but if I did that
then one of my competitors
would read this and call me
wrong on it. :-)
Just to give you a quick run down on the rules, there are no rules! They say there
are, and I even have a sheet with a lot of rules on it. The simple truth is if you
can get out there they will probably let you run it!
But if you were wanting to here a few, then the most important one's are .....
(1) Don't make it obviouse you are cheating.
(2) Don't belive the other guy's are going to drive like they have any sense.
(3) Don't go out there with a stock car, you won't win!
(4) You need a big car if you exspect to last a while. Small car's are faster and
they turn better, but the don't last.
(5) Big car's are not slow "if you set them up right"
AND NOW FOR SOME ACTION PHOTOS FROM THE 3
YEARS I RACED THIS BADASS 69 BUICK LESABER.
This guy who was, and  still is a friend of mine, took a position away from me during a caution lap. SO I
took it back! I did feel bad
about this one later, but
when I am on the track I tend to be a little to agressive
