What more can I say about Brainscan? As always Alex provides another very aesthetically pleasing layout. All covers are black with photographs of her shoes and colorful stockings on the front. In this issue: Androgyny, out of context quotes, looking at feminism from a punk rock sense, feeling like she lacks culture, how she became Alex Wrekk, planning her punk rock wedding, diaryland, writing letters, keeping in contact with an ex boyfriend, being vegan, her favorite breakfast spot, and tons more. Wow. What a packaging job. Most of the copies of this come with three awesome flyers/posters: a oh-so-cute picture Vickie drew of a girl on a bike that reads "BIKE PUNKS!", another aesthetically pleasing one reading "My Friends Are Going To Save The World", and another reading : "Conversation=Communication=Revolution: Talk To Strangers!". And thats just the posters! Also comes with two stickers. whew. [Most issues have these, some may be lacking a sticker or flyer]. Inside you'll find...[CPAB #3 & #4]...feeling too safe in S.F. and sometimes wanting excitment and tragic events, dancing, diy health care, comic about summer, 'freedom is...', feeling like life is a bunch of failed attempts, tales from san francisco, her suitcase named 'Veronica', bringing boys to her favorite spots, strangers, '12 hour romances'...and so much more.
