Ford F-350 Sterling 10.25 Rear Axle
Converted from Single to Dual rear wheels, and Drum to Disc brakes.
Narrowing about 13 1/2", using '03 Dodge 3500 dually rear rotors and Chevy 1/2-ton calipers, along with 2"
alluminum spacer.  Finished picture below; Installed in my
'52 F-3 using a 4-link Airbag setup.  Still needs shocks,
brake lines, some  custom length 35-spline axle shafts, and change to cadillac calipers with parking brakes. (might use
tranny brake)  Tires are about 1" from frame rails, with an overall width of 73". (Flatbed is 73 1/4" wide)

Mock-up pics of disc brake converstion. Since i'm using 16" wheels, clearance is close.
Got this Cover from
my local Ford dealer
for $45, I guess it's
a factory cover for '08
trucks with a Sterling.
Even with the deep
hat rotors, i still needed
2 more inches for rotor
and caliper clearance.
I have about
1/4" clearance
between calipers and wheels.
Calipers pictured
are just for
testing, they are
the same size as
the Cadillac rear
parking brake
calipers i'm
still looking for.
Will be making
custom mounting brackets for the
calipers later.
