SOME IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT THE YOUNG MARINES!!
We are not a paramilitary group.
We do not teach weaponry or carry weapons
We are not a military recruiting station for any branches of the
armed services
We are self funded, using car washes and raffles to support our
Young Marines needs.
We have seasonal camp outs that range from 2 to 7 days in
length.
Donations are acceptable and welcomed.
School:
Classroom instruction teaches the value of truthfulness fairness, respect,
courage, attention to duty, and love of God and Country. School progress is
monitored by the instructors and grades are incorporated into the merit and
promotion part of the Young Marines. Physical fitness is developed in outdoor
activities such as, competitive sports, hiking, compass marches, and wilderness
survival training.
We use military rank structure, ribbons, citations for achievement and strict
duty assignments.
The Young Marines must be neat, clean and have a haircut in the
tradition of the young Marines. They must also shine their own shoes and boots,
press their uniforms and polish their brass. They are to achieve in school and
perform extra chores at home.
