The Singaporean-Irish Residents Group
We of the Singaporean Community of West Belfast are being discriminated against. We hadno idea you were allowed to put up completely foreign flags in a country at a time of crisis. We refrained from erecting a pole with the Singapore flag as a sign of respect for the British Territory on which we live, only to find Irish flags all over the area. Now we find that MPs reserve the right to fly the flag of a foriegn country in the Department of Education Buildings on British soil. Such discrimination not only targets the British but the Singaporean Community. Just because we are small in number and nobody votes for us doesn't mean we don't deserve our flag up.
Therefore, we propose that if the tricolour is to be acknowledged, so should our flag. The buildings are Stormont should therefore henceforth look like this:
So...our political party "Sin-fay Nar Ter Ro Rist" is now up for voting...
Help us find peace in Northern Ireland by making Ulster Singaporean. It's what de Valera would have wanted!
