One of the many books we have regarding Lighthouses mentioned Governor's Light which was built in the 1960's to honor past governors of South Carolina , It is surrounded by (if you can believe this) condominiums. But it is accessible to the public. We really enjoyed this stop. Next we were off to Sullivans Island where we visited Charleston Light . This Lighthouse is triangular and has an elevator in it. The U.S. Coast Guard does not permit entrance to the Light.

          We are saving the rest of the South Carolina and Georgia Lighthouses for a future expedition......
