Thirst No More:

I wanted more than a friend could give...
More than a drug to help me live...
  More than sensual pleasures...
  Or abundant earthly treasures...
  More than another drink...
Or a book to make me think...
  Nothing could ever satisfy...
  Please tell me why...
  Thirsting for the Living Water...
  Does anything else matter?
A dreadful death on a tree...
  Forever the captives set free...
  An advocate he will send...
The sound of a mighty rushing wind...
  Tongues of fire from above...
  A promise of true love...
There is no reason to fear it...
  Do not deny the Spirit...
Come take me by the hand...
And walk with me into the Promised Land.

The Rose of Sharon

I am thankful for a mother that never could consider a child to be a choice,
But believed the birth of her baby boy was breathed from above.
Sometimes in the cool quiet night I still hear her heavenly voice,
Softly speaking a sincere message saturated with sweet love.

Through all the trials, tribulations, troubles, and trails of tears,
I'll never forget the endless compassion upon us all she did bestow.
She always admonished us to allow the Almighty to assume all of our fears,
Knowing no Gentile or Jew can guess how far the great grace of God will go.

Through the long stormy nights Blessed Assurance she did sing,
Never afraid to share a smile along with the greatest story ever told.
Unceasingly giving glory to God and Jesus Christ the King,
While we wavered and wandered wayward she stood brave and bold.

She was forever full of faith founded by the fingers of the Father,
Meanwhile many miles and moons separated me from my home.
I was wondering why in the world would my mother go to all this bother,
Requesting the Righteous Redeemer to return the lamb never more to roam.

I'm thankful that the Lord's love I now know never will leave,
And an awesome angel in heaven above always watches over me.
Still sometimes my soul sorrows though I have no reason to grieve,
For someday soon the beautiful Rose of Sharon again we shall see.
