Term 17 Amendment, 1997

An amendment to Term 17 brought into force in 1998 following a provincial plebiscite held on September 2, 1997. The plebiscite question was: "Do you support a single school system where all children, regardless of their religious affiliation, attend the same schools where opportunities for religious education and observances are provided?"
