HS-story

Bandung Municipal Group 06005-06006 (called ITB Scout) is the oldest Indonesia Scout Movement based at the University or Higher Education, with a long history of excellence and service more than 25 years. It was officially inaugurated on Sunday morning 9 a.m. 12 March 1972 by Rector of ITB : the late Prof. Doddy T. Tisnaamidjaja, PhD .

The Sponsoring Body of ITB Scout were lecturers of ITB, the ITB branch of association of working women, and ITB students. They asked ITB lecturers to send their children to join with Pramuka ITB. The first membership was dedicated to form unit of cubs and brownies : red and blue dens. The Pack was named as "Gajah Dungkul" means : baby elephant (remember, logo of ITB is elephant, called Ganesha : god of knowledge and wisdom).

As the years passed by, the group become bigger. Milestones of ITB Scout journey are as follows :

December 1972 : to form "Mastodon" Troop (Boy Scout) and "Alamanda" Troop (Girl Guide) .

11 March 1973 : official inauguration of ITB Scout - named as Group 104 - 105 .

26 August 1973 : to form "Sapta Tri Putra" Crew (group of Rover) : means of year of establishment in 1973 (Sapta Tri = 73 , Putra = men ).

June 1975 : to form "Sapta Panca Putri" Crew (group of Ranger) : signification of year of its establishment in 1975 (Sapta Panca = 75 , Putri = women ) .

26 October 1975 : Senior Rover Clan was founded to develop capabilities of ITB student

May 1977 : Senior Ranger Clan was estbalished to give the opportunity of cointinuing scout activities

Middle 1982 : Group 104-105 had new Group Number, i.e. Group 0605-0606

August 1990 : Second change of Group Number, i.e. Group 06005-06006

The followings are data of Group Officials since its establishment. One of its uniqueness is the Group Head held by the student since 1976, as in other Universities in Indonesia were held by the Lecturers. It increase the autonomy of the Group, and accelerate in decision making.
