"YoALW Index" is a sort of bookmark-site for things I've run across. I've tried to sort the wheat from the chaff, but --- when in doubt --- I lean heavily on the idea that no link is a bad link. Granted, the result is a little ugly --- but browse around, and you'll find something worthwhile. Many things, actually. The color and content and style you'll find at some of these links make up for what http://www.oocities.org/yossarian70038/ lacks --- YoALW Links is a starting point, not a destination.
"YoALW Posts" is a BBS-companion to the links. You can say whatever you want --- suggest links, comment, rant, rave, whatever. As a firm believer in free speech, I don't care what anyone posts. Got a heavy-handed manifesto of some kind? Post it here! Hate this site, and everything on it? Post your "Fuck You", and I'll say "Fuck You" back at my earliest possible convenience. Got a viable solution to an "Anarchist and Libertarian Worker" problem? By God, Post It! Got no solution, but just want to bitch? Knock yerself out --- Post It!
(The only exception to my otherwise free-speech policy is SPAM. I naturally reserve the right to delete whatever I want. (Don't like it? Start your own message board!) Hell, I don't even mind legitimate commercial postings.
In general, your post is only at risk if you're proselytizing for Amway or Christianity or some other such pyramid scheme. Hierarchy is not welcome here.)
The structure of YoALW Links is kinda arbitrary. Working outwards from the "Anarchist and Libertarian Worker" concept, I just alphabetized some general categories, with the links of each category alphabetized according to locally-relevant (and generally inconsistant) rules.
The anarchism category is self-explanatory. (politics is an unfortunate fellow-traveler.) alternative living contains a large part of what YoALW Links is about.
I considered breaking alternative living into two categories, the other called alternative technology, then reconsidered, then reconsidered again. So now they're two seperate categories, part of the same continuum.
The food, freedom, and rights categories concern us all --- especially lefties!
Of the remaining categories, most are less intuitive. So what? Fuck it --- check 'em out! And don't forget to post your high praise or deep scorn or (best of all) original content on YoALW Posts.
