The Youth In Action, Inc. program is for boys. It does not discriminate against race, color, etc. Youth In Action is a program that desires to give back to the community. It gives the youth a chance to use their creativity in a positive way. Many will explore talent that they never knew existed. Under the leadership of consenting adults, the youth will have the opportunity to express themselves spiritually, mentally and physically. Youth In Action will be participating in serveral activities such as basketball, music, softball, football, art, spiritual guidance workshops and much more.
The main objective of the Youth In Action program is to bring the kids from the streets to an environment where there is love shown to one another. We will strive to teach boys to grow up to be successful men.
Along with sport activities, they will learn how spirituality will play an important role in their lives. It will also teach our young men how to treat, respect and love one another as God loves us. We will also give our youth encouragment. We will let them know that there is a better way, God's way.
The boys will learn the importance of staying in school. The leaders of Youth In Action will take it upon themselves to follow-up on the youth while they are in school. If we work together (parents, teachers, community, youth leaders) we will accomplish this goal. Regardless of whether the boys are in school, he can still participate in the Youth In Action program. |
