things that go bump in the night
                         role playing characters
Free form vampire RPG has been a love of mine for some two years now. I'm heavily into vampire myth and lore and occultism. I'm currently taking a self-imposed break from it, due to the detrimental effect it has on my poor time management skills! I have four main characters (MoonStone, TigerEye, Jasper, and Poppy) though TigerEye is closest to my heart, and around three more are taking form in my mind.
Here, so far, you can find the characterisations for my first two characters, MoonStone and Poppy.
If you have any questions/comments about my RPG feel free to

MoonStone's bio can be found here
TigerEye
TigerEye LeVoudrais was born in Paris to her parents, Michel and Patrice. Both were innate witches from the same clan – mages, with magick flowing through their veins. From the moment TigerEye, their second child, was conceived, she had more innate power due to her ancestry that anyone could believe. And her clan, the Bleu Sorcier clan, practised a different kind of magick – a singmature magick, that no other clan possessed. So, while TigerEye and her family were gifted with magick, at the same time they were cursed with a bounty. Many people wanted the magick of the bleu sorcier (blue witch) clan, particularly the skill of the LeVoudrais fan.

TigerEye, or Tiger, as she is affectionately called, lived in harmony for her youth, never knowing how dangerous the world of competitive magick could be. She lived with her parents, her older brother Jasper and her youngest sister and dear friend, MoonStone.

Her parents soon became the targets of a rival clan, and the LeVoudrais family moved to Rome. Still, Tiger enjoyed a pleasant life, finding comfort in the natural beauty of Italy. Until, a fateful night.

Vampires and mages had both come under suspicion by the ‘mortals’ of Rome. In turn, the vampires turned on the witches, hunting them. For the first time in her life, Tiger actually knew fear. It all escalated on Beltane Eve, the year Tiger was 20. The vampires arrived at the sacred circle, and the mob opened a no-holds-barred attack.

Blood and crackles of energy flew through the air. Tiger hid behind a rock, and watched in silent horror. Her mother was stoned to death, her father drained. She averted her eyes in shock and grief, only to see a vampire sink his fangs into her brother Jasper’s neck. Still crouching, she began to move away, trying to leave without calling attention to herself, murmuring protection spell after protection spell, not even knowing the spells herself, her innate power taking over. Desperately, Tiger looked around her beloved MoonStone. Finally, she saw her – lying prone, surrounded by fire. With a grieving heart, Tiger slunk away.

Alone and utterly devastated, the usually serene girl wandered aimlessly through Italy. She found her way back to France, lived in silence and fear in beach city, Biarritz. Never speaking, barely acknowledging her magickal ancestry.

The following year, while wandering through a market, she absently ran a hand over the tumbled gemstones laid out by a crone on velvet cloth. Her fingers smoothed over her namesake stone, a tiger eye. Immediately, she was bombarded with images – visions.

She saw MoonStone, her dear sister, in a gothic theatre. She felt her distress, and even saw a creature – she was sure it was a vampire, rip out her heart, while other vampires watched. This, Tiger knew, was a premonition. She was stunned – her dear friend and sister was still alive, in France – and it looked as though she would lose her again!

Tiger began to scry for the first time since the riot, trying to use her passion and magick to find her sister. She found a possible location in Paris. She packed up and left Biarritz, moving with more determination and energy than she’d had in a long time.

TigerEye finally found her way to Theatre des Vampires, a dark refuge. She arrived, entering with slight apprehension – just in time to see her sister’s prone form – again. She rushed to Moon’s side, taking her hand, smoothing her sister’s curls that were so like her, apart from the colour – Moon’s a brilliant russet, Tiger’s a stunning sunlight blonde. She reverently closed her sister’s eyes and buried her.

Unlike her last horrific experience, Tiger didn’t shut down. She refused to. This time, she was determined to live on, with her old passion and vibrancy.

Tiger embraced magicks and her power, devoted herself to learning all she could. Oddly enough, she stayed in Paris, in a charming little cottage. She also became a regular visitor to the theatre, mainly as a desire to find out more about MoonStone’s experiences. She found out her sweet sister had only just arrived in Paris, and that she struck up a friendship with the wrong person. Julian, a newly born vampire, had been helping her sister, which angered his sire, Xander. Xander, Delirium, and other vampires gleefully killed her.

Yet still Tiger remained. About three weeks after her arrival, she began to meet people and form acquaintances. She began revaling her identity as a witch, firmly resolved to help newcomers to the theatre, to protect them from her sister’s fate.

It was then, as she began to ease into her new life, passing time with her enemies, vampires, she met Alannor. An enigmatic, hybrid demon with a kindness hidden behind awkwardness. He and Tiger quickly fell in love, and are now betrothed. Tiger lives  quietly, gracefully, shying away from conflict and offering warmth to those that need it.
