Part A 1/2/3

Context of Latin America.

I was searching the Internet in order to find three web pages that might be helpful in understanding the “Context of Latin America”.
The first web. Page that I want to share with you is http://www.gateofthesun.com/. This is very interesting page because it includes information about many countries of Latin America, such Peru, Ecuador. Bolivia. Also, this web. Page includes very useful information about trips. Also, this page has maps, and photographs of these countries.

The second page that I found was great and I really like it, and will use for nextweeks too. http://www.lanic.utexas.edu/ page includes information about everything. It has information about countries, economy, culture, languages, government structure, science, and many other parts of live that make the term “Context of Latin America”. This page has links to each country, where you can find all information about this particular Latin country. Actually, I was amazed how smart and easy to use this page was made.

The third web page was http://www.americas.org/. This page contains the latest news from the Latin America countries. It has information from almost all countries of Latin America. It offers forum for readers, and current news. In addition, you can search your question by using country search engine from page’s database, which might be useful for next weeks.

PART C.
People that had influence on my life.

I was born and grew up in the multicultural society—Soviet Union. All together, 15 republics seemed to be strong. During my childhood I was influenced by my parents, friends, and, sure my older brother. My parents belong to two nationalities—Russian and Ukrainian, so since the early childhood I was listening and learning both languages, and both cultures. Later, when I went to school, I met children from different nationalities. We shared our toys, bikes, and traditions without noticing that. I celebrated two Easters—orthodox (Russian), and catholic (Poland). Same was with Christmas. At that time I didn’t divide people by their nationalities, never do now. My older brother always explained me that all people are equal, regardless of their skin color or nationality. He had huge influence on my life. Later, when we moved from Ukraine to Sonoma County, my SRJC councilor had, and still has influence on my life. His smart advices helped me a lot to go through ESL classes, do all prerequisites, and, later, be accepted to the Radiology Technology Program. I wouldn’t be able to do all these steps in two years without his help. I’m very grateful to all people that had influence on my life; their support and advices helped me to become a person who I am now.
