United States Census

Begining in 1790, the United States has conducted a census every ten years.  The primary reason for the census is to determine the distribution of the seats in the House of Representatives in Congress.

These census records, however, also provide a tremendous amount of information to family history researchers.  In order to maintain privacy to those individuals listed in the census, the records are made available to researchers 72 years after the census was taken.  The 1930 Census became public in April 2002.  It can be accessed for a fee at Ancestry.com.  There are 179 people with the name Zadrozny listed in the 1930 census.  Dozens more can be found under other spelling variations (mispellings).

My goal is to create an index of Zadroznys enumerated in census records from each state.    If you would like to contribute information to this index, please email it to
