Jeremy...
is currently working at Platts in Boulder, CO. He works in sales and marketing selling energy information publications, and providing customer service to clients. He is also the company's star right fielder on the slow pitch softball team - too bad the wedding is right in the middle of the season!

Lindsey...
is finally getting to work at her dream job! She is teaching fifth grade at Shaffer Elementary in Littleton, CO. She is loving every minute of being Miss Brazil - until she becomes Mrs. Zahrte! She has a busy year in front of her - teaching, going to school, and planning a wedding all at once. Would she have it any other way?

The proposal happened on August 26, 2001 - on our 38th month anniversary! Jeremy had wanted to go to Vail and hike down the mountain and propose at the spot where we carved our name into a tree. Staying true to form, Lindsey ruined it all by refusing to go because it was too far away. Instead we decided to go hiking in Evergreen. We hiked about 45 minutes into the mountain when we stopped to have a snack. There, Jeremy got down on one knee and proposed. Lindsey couldn't speak and just nodded and cried. We then ran the whole way down the mountain telling everyone that we passed that we had just gotten engaged. We have wonderful memories of our engagement, a great story, and we can't wait to revisit our "new" spot on our anniversaries!
