History

Z.A.K. Mosta forms part of the youth section of the Maltese Catholic Action, of which there are various groups in different parishes around Malta.

Z.A.K. Mosta was founded in 1936 by Dun Salv Sammut and based in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Oratory. In 1956 Dun Ang Camilleri was appointed as the Ecclesiastic Assistant for the Z.A.K. Mosta group and under his patronage Z.A.K. Mosta continued to flourish throughout all these years. When our organisation was nominated as one of the finalists for the Premju Zghazagh fis-Socjeta in 1995 and runners up the following year is proof enough of this.

Aims

Z.A.K. Mosta aims to promote christian values amongst its members and induce a sense of both individual personality and belonging among its members by involving them in sports, culture, filantropical, social and religious activities.

Z.A.K. Mosta also helps its members to grow up with a strong character and sound morality.

Members and Meetings

Z.A.K. Mosta holds its weekly meetings at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Oratory every Tuesday at 19:30. Youths over 13 years old are invited for these meetings, which vary in the way they are delivered. They range from discussions, workshops, lectures, prayer meetings and activities.

Currently we are about 25 members between 13 and 24 years. This  difference in age contribute to a great mixture of ideas and characeristics to the grouo gathering and activities.

Activities

Z.A.K. Mosta organises quite a number of activities throughout the whole year. These can be found under
