The Man with the number 666 (Rev 13)
GongThere has been quite a number of occasions, we heard over the Internet, newsgroups and some personal E-mail of people mention a certain person is label as the man number 666. It is our responsibility to make known to those who are ignorant about the mark of the beast. Please read the scripture carefully and not be carried away.
Now to answer your question about the meaning of the number 666 mentioned in the Bible, which is found in Revelation 13:16-18. It is important to know that the man numbered 666 will not made known as to who he is to all the people of the world, until after all the true Christians throughout the whole world have been taken up into Heaven to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. This great event is called 'The Rapture of the Church' in the Bible, and you can read about this in 1st Thessalonians chapter 4 verses 13 to 18.
The man who is called 666, the Antichrist will take over to rule the whole world and he will demand that everyone will worship him. As Christians, we do not need to know who this man will be. It is just important to know that this man will not come into power until the time of the special judgement of God for the 7 years of the great tribulation, that God will bring on the world as He has told us in the Book of Revelation.
Christians be sure you walk close with God, Are you overwhelmed by your busy schedule of this world? Don't lose sight of your priorities that the Lord has entrusted you. Take heed on the following scriputures: "every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." (Matthew 12:36; 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV) Spend time with the Lord, read your scripture, "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;" (Hebrews 10:23 NNAS); "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:25 KJV) and He will lift your load and give you the right perspective. For those who have children are they in the God's Family? Pray for them.
For those who did not receive Lord Jesus as their personal Saviour why not do it now. You will never know when the Lord will return. Just take God at His word. When you have done what He has asked, claim salvation by faith, according to His Word. Believe and you shall be saved. No church, no lodge, no good works, no one but Jesus only saves you.
