HANDS AND FEET IN WORSHIP
Text: John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Intro. Hands end Feet are important m Worship:
(A) Our Hands or Feet are Related to our Reverence of the Person Worshipped.

(B) Our Hands and Feet are Related to the Relinquishment of our Person.

(C) Jesus' Hands and Feet are Related to the Reality of His Person. Lk. 24:39, 40 cf. Jn. 20:20
A. Mary Anointed THE FEET OF JESUS IN WORSHIP Jn. 12:7
Mary is mentioned only 3 times in the Gospels and on all these occasions .....
MARY WAS AT THE FEET OF JESUS
1. She learned how to Worship from His Word. Lk 10;39
She had an Established Revelation from His Word at His feet. Cf Worship Him in Truth. Jn 4:24 She Learned how to Approach and Act - Approach with a gift. Jn.12:3 cf. Deut.16:16f; Mt.2:11 She Learned to Adore Hit Attributes - Anointing. Jn. 12:3 She Learned to Anticipate His Act - Anointing for the dead. Jn 12:3 cf. Mk. 16:1
2. She learned how to Worship from His Works. Jn. 11:32
She had an Experienced Relationship with Him at His feet. cf. Worship Him in Spirit. Jn 4:24
The Lord sent for her personally. Jn 11:28 Mary went immediately. Jn. 11:29 Mary bent down at His feet reverently. Jn. 11:32 "Lord'
3. She knew Him for His Worth to Worship Him. Jn. 1 2:3-8
She had an Exclusive Reverence for Him and gave Him her Rest at His feet. cf Worship Him. Jn. 4 24 He was worth more than Money. Jn. 12:5 He was no ordinary Man: Christ :- the Anointed; He is Priest Prophet and King He was Worshipped by Mary. Jn 12:3
- she anointed His feet not I His Head; Buut wiped His feet with her Hair! cf. l Cor. 11: 15, 7: Rev. 4:10f
Thus, MARY WAS AT THE FEET OF JESUS To listen to His Word - LK. 10:39 She found at His feet her Blessing. To pour out her Woes Jn. 11:32 She brought to His feet her Burden. To anoint them in Worship -Jn. 12:3 She gave at His feet her Best.
B. THOMAS CONFRONTED WITH THE HANDS OF JESUS. Jn. 20:27
1. Thomas' failure to Worship. Jn. 20:19 He was not at the Place of Gathering. Jn. 20:24 }cf. feet first day of the week, He was not with the People of God. Jn. 20:24 )Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 16:2. He was too Practical to be of any God. Jn. 20:25
2. Thomas' Faith in Worship. Jn. 20:26-28 He saw the Supernatural Christ. Jn. 20:26 came JESUS the doors being shut He saw the Suffering Christ Victorious. Jn. 20:27 behold my hands reach hither thy hand To him, He became the Sovereign Christ. Jn. 20:28 My Lord and my God.
3. Thomas' Following blessed in Worship. Jn. 20:29, 27 The Blessedness of those who Walk in Faith. . . that... have believed. The Blessing of those who Witness Christ But Faith. . that have no seen.The Bonus of those who Worship Christ in Faith. , blessed are they
