Open a new image 600 x600 Transparent background. Add a layer and name it hoof layer, Go to selections>load from disk and add the left hoof.sel, flood fill with a dark brown color or black I used this color #301714. I then select none. After that I go to the selection tool and select the rectangle and go around the hoof and click on the hoof again while the rectangle is around it to reselect it. I have been told that it helps with the jaggies, and you will need to do this step with all the selections especially when we work on the fiber optix selections. Ok now we go to effects> Eye Candy> and use these setting: |

Next go to the layer Palette and duplicate the hoof layer and deselect. Next select your copy of hoof layer from the layer palette and go to image and mirror it. Ok now we have some hooves. |
The next step add a layer and name it bottom leg. go to selections>load from disk and add the left leg.sel flood fill it with light brown this is the color that I used. #A85249 Now deselect it and use the selection tool retangle and go around it then click to reselected it. (If you do not do this step then the fiber optics will not expand past the lines) Ok now to add some hair to the leg. go to Effects>kpt5>fiber optics and use the brown preset under the reindeer settings that I have supplied. Go to selections and select none. Then go to the layer palette and click on the leg layer and duplicate the layer. Then go to Image and mirror it. and it is in the right postion again. neat huh. |
Ok add a new layer and name it body. go to selections load from disk and add the body.sel Flood fill it with the same light brown as before. #A85249 Remember to deselect and then use the selection tool rectangle to go around the body and click it to reselect it. Now apply the Kpt fiber optics brown (under the reindeer sitting) setting again. got to selections and choose select none. Now go to Effects>3d effects and drop shadow and apply these settings. Vertical minus 1, Horizonal minus 1, Opacity 90 and blur 5. Color Black. Picture on next page. |
