Basmati rice 4cups Ground Lamb(Kheema) or Beef 2lbs Koftas(just as in kofta curry) 10 Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp Garam Masala(ground cumin,cloves and cinnamon) 1tsp red chilli powder 1tsp turmeric 1/4tsp lime juice 1/4cup Chopped cilantro and mint 1cup Crispy fried onions 1/2cup Onions chopped 1/2cup Sour cream or thick yogurt 1cup |

1.Saute chopped onions in 2tsp of oil until brown.Add ginger garlic paste.saute for a minute.Mix in ground lamb or beef.Add all the spices and stir well. 2.Add the sour cream and cook until no water is left. 3.soak rice for 10-15minutes and cook with double the quanity of water 4.when nearly half done,drain the water. 5.Make layers of rice and ground meat curry in a heavy bottom skillet .with rice at the bottom and meat in the center.cover with remaining rice.add lime juice and chopped cilantro and mint. 6.close tightly and cook for 15minutes. 7.Prepare Koftas just as koftacurry recipe 7.Mix all the layers.Arrange in a large plate with koftas at the top. |
