Onion Uttapam Ingredients 1.Urad dal 2cups 2.Idli Rava or Sooji rava 1/2cup 3.Onions chopped 2cups 4.Cumin seeds 1/2tsp 5.Green chillies chopped 4 6.Salt 7.Oil Method 1.Soak dal and idli rava for 4hrs(if using sooji rava do not soak).Grind dal to a smooth paste and mix with the rava.Refrigrate it overnight use it next morning . 2.Add salt,onions,green chillies,cumin seeds to the batter and mix well. 3.heat a big pan and pour the batter with a deep round spoon and spread it to make it thinner.Add some oil on the edges of the uttapam.Flip on other side when slightly crispy and brown.fry for another 2 minutes on the other side. 4.serve hot with sambar and chutney. Serves 3-4 |
