My name is Mohammed H Rahman, but I am better known as Hifiz to my family,
friends, and colleagues. I am originally from Bangladesh and arrived in America
in April of 1990. When I first landed at JFK International Airport on April 29
of that year, I was filled with a sense of excitement as I entered upon a new
life filled with hopes and dreams of a prosperous future. The following year, I
was admitted to Newfield High School in Selden , New York. The year after, I
moved to Astoria , New York, and continued my high school education at Long
Island City High School , from where I later graduated. Soon after, I began
attending City University of New York, LaGuardia Community College in Long
Island City , New York .
As a student at LaGuardia, I am engaged in many classes. Some of my major
courses include Introduction to Computers (CIS 100), Introduction to Computer
Science (CIS 101), Introduction to Business (AMM 101), Basic Assembler Language
for Computer Science (CIS 196), Oral Communications (HUC 101), Object Oriented
Programming (CIS 190), Composition I (ENG 101, 102), Introduction to Sociology (SSN
100), Accounting, Social Sciences, Statistics, and Gateway to the Workplace (CEP
100, 102, 103). I have completed my Associates Degree in Computer Sciences.
In addition to being a student, I am also a full time employee at Trump
International Hotel and Towers in New
York ,
