International F&AM Masons and
Order of the Eastern Star
Zipporah Chapter #231
in Wilberforce, Ohio
The Order of the Eastern Star is the women's affiliate associated with the Masonic Fraternity.  Because the Masons adopted us, we are called an "Adoptive Rite".  This allows women of great moral character to share in the privileges once afforded only to men of the craft.  We also help them with the great work of Freemasonry.

Established over 220 years ago,
OES rates high among organizations because of the stability of it's foundation.  It's  principles do not change with the times.  It's landmarks are perpetual.  These landmarks cannot be changed to suit the whims of any one person or faction.   It's principles, purposes, and aims are universal.  This makes the OES not just another "social club", or the like that comes and goes, but a lasting fixture in society.  It is the largest organization for women in the world and the fifth largest fraternal organization in existence.
