Chief Minister John Osborne has been defending Britain and how much aid it has given to the island.
The Chief Minister of the British Virgin Islands Ralph O’ Neal believes London could be doing far more and far better for Montserrat, which is rebuilding an economy wrecked by the volcano.
The leaders of Britain’s Overseas territories will be meeting with White Hall Officials in a conference this month.

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) continues to give vital assistance to the health sector.
Three officials from the Barbados-based hemispheric body are on island to further develop the Ministry of Health’s development plan.
According to officials Dr. Elizabeth Ferdinand and Dr. Carol Boyd Scobie are assisting with the development of performance indicators.
To this end a workshop is being planned for Wednesday involving senior health staff and government officials.
The objective of the workshop is to assist the government of Montserrat to define performance indicators against National health Action Plan priorities.
The other PAHO official is Dale Ifil who is helping to develop the Ministry of Health’s health information system.
This includes the computerisation of key departments within the ministry such as the lab, records and the health centres.
The British Navy ship HMS Coventry will pay a courtesy call to Montserrat this week.
Coventry, which is part of the North Atlantic Patrol Task Force will arrive on Wednesday and will spend two days in port.
It is captained by Philip Jones and carries a crew of 237.
According to a press release from Government House the crew will assist in a number of projects including environmental clean-ups, landscaping, a water irrigation project as well as offering assistance to the Royal Montserrat Defence Force.
The captain and senior officers will pay courtesy calls on His Excellency the Governor and the Honourable Chief Minister, and will have briefing sessions with MVO and Emergency Department officials.
The ship’s crew will be given shore leave during which time they will play a game of football against a local side at Little bay on Wednesday.
The Honourable Minister of Agriculture Lands Housing and the Environment Margaret Dyer-Howe has made a call for the establishment of a business center to support local art and craft.
She made the call following the completion of a series of workshops in art craft, pottery, basketry, tie and dye and boutique.
In a recent interview with ZJB News Mrs. Dyer-Howe gave her support for a center that she said would offer support to art and craft producers.

Mr. O’ Neal, who recently hosted a meeting of Chief Ministers from UK Caribbean overseas territories said Montserrat, still feeling the effects of an active volcano needs more help to recover.

The members of the Constitutional Commission have been finalized.
The Government announced late this afternoon that Executive Council has decided on the five members, which represent a cross section of the community.
Long time speaker of the Legislative Council Sir Howard Fergus is the chairman.
The other members former school principal Peter White, attorney at Law John Kelsick, trade unionist Fitzroy Martin, and parliamentarian Chedmond Browne.
There is no indication yet when the commission will begin holding public meetings.
