Well lessee...

Still sick and really tired and generally in poor health...

Still need to work out and to get paid

Although I am now officially the Assistant Coordinator of the Alachua County Sheriff's Office Teen Court Program...which means not only am I gonna get paid, but I'm gonna get insurance and stuff, too!  Hurray for contact lenses and dental work!

Geez...I have a real job, like with benefits and business cards and a cubicle and shit...how scary is that?

Can't I just be 16 and in high school drama again?  Oh wait...I hated high school...  Hmmm

Thelma the Thesis is due all too soon, still don't know for sure if I have to take comps, still overwhelmed with work and learning new things and trying to have a social life...although it seems that recently my social life is having me...or not having me...not wanting me....I don't know...I'm just as confused as the rest of you where all that's concerned...maybe more so.  Hmmm

I do know that important conversations shouldn't be had on AIM or when one or more of the participants are intoxicated and on nyquil.

I also know that "Operation Infiinite Justice" needs another name...and that maybe I need a new political affiliation...although you donkey folks seem to be agreeing with us efalants for the first time in, oh, I don't know 280 years?

YOU GUYS: Wow, Dan, this is your longest and least coherent entry yet
ME: Yeah, well, wait until we actually start fighting a war or a pseudo war or what have you.  If I'm still heavily medicated, this journal is gonna get very interesting...it's gonna get me in trouble...I'm already in trouble...hmm...oh well...more news when I actually have something to say.

Yeah yeah yeah, so I haven't written in my journal in like half a month...suck it  up and take  it like a man...since we all know no women read this site anyway...

Well lots of stuff going on.

LESSON OF THE MONTH:   DON'T SLEEP WITH YOUR CONTACTS IN OR YOU WILL GET ULCERS IN YOUR EYES!!!!

Most important message for you for the month:

IF YOU'RE A STUDENT AT UF VOTE
VOICE PARTY FOR STUDENT SENATE...especially if you live in the 32608 zip code!!!

Other than that, working but getting paid shit, trying to see, loving my rascally dogs, being way too busy, planning Disability Awareness Month Activities, studying for certification exam, preparing to defend my thesis, saw this really disturbing, poorly written movie called Megiddo with Judd, yada yada yada.

Oh yeah, and we're at war with Afghanistan...

Funny funny funny--ooops!  Somebody's dead...Well, maybe not so funny anymore.  Sigh.

Blah, blah blah, neglecting my journal, blah blah....

Do you guys remember when having a best friend was something simple, and being a best friend meant just having more barbie clothes and the newest barbie dreamhouse...oh wait, my female friends don't read this...when being a best friend meant having more Nintendo games...hmm...for some of you the latter is still true to an extent, isn't it?

I don't know, maybe I expect more than is rational from the person or persons that I consider to be my best friends.  Like that when I have a problem or something I need to talk to them about, they won't downplay my emotions because they think that their problems are more important or bigger than mine.  I don't know.  No matter what happens, I always try to be there for him, but I don't feel like he's been doing the same lately.  I don't feel like I've been supported AT ALL by him for the last couple months, and that all he's concerned about now are his own career and working out (something we were SUPPOSED to be doing together.)

Having a best friends is supposed to make life simple.  Well, lately it hasn't.  It has only complicated things, adding on to all the drama I'm dealing with on a daily basis.  But of course, my drama isn't NEARLY as important as his, so why even bother going into the details.

So I guess I can just tack him up there on the disturbingly long list of former best friends who have disappointed me throughout my life.  Funny that only one of them has ever made any effort to make up for the past.  Of course, being best friends for 12 years probably carries a little more weight than the 12 or so months I've known Thomas.

Eventually my life will be normal...but then what would I have to write in my journal about?
November 4, 2001
Lots of stuff happening since the last time I wrote, but I'm gonna run out of room if I try to actually make sense of it all, but here it goes anyway...Took the CRC, it sucked.  I know that COUNSELOR is in the title, but apparently all they want you to know how to do is Job Analysis.  I also think that pronouns should be banned from so-called standardized tests...and bubble sheets. Anyway, short story long, the exam sucked big time.  Finished my thesis, defended, passed with flying colors.  Now Thelma gets sent to the graduate school and we'll see where it goes from there.  Got accepted to the Faculty of the National Youth Court Conference where I get to run a workshop and present the findings of my thesis.  Fun with Power Point!!  Of course, the bad news that came with this announcement was the realization that the National Youth Court Center is actually in Kentucky--cuz THAT makes sense. If I ever get to be the Director, the first order of buisiness is to move it to D.C. where it  belongs.  Speaking of D.C. I want to go...now...because it's not Florida.  Well, some things never change.

In the office by myself for the next week because Jason went to Italy.  Sigh.  I would love to get out of the state much less the country.  So keep me company by participating in my new poll!!
TOP TEN TELEVISIONS SITCOMS AND DRAMAS OF ALL TIME! Come on--you got nothing better to do and you're online anyway!!
