Well, finals are approaching all too quickly and with a paper, a project and 3 exams in the next two and a half weeks, I decided to spend today on a field trip to Tampa with the Teen Court gang.  Seeing the way things run down there was like a Teen Court IV.  And they said there was only Matt Backus...I beg to differ!!!  Anyway, it was an interesting experience.  I love my job.

Got my hair cut today...guess what, it looks exactly the same as it did before.  Of course this is a good thing compared to the bull dyke cut I got over spring break.  I can actually use a headband now. Woohoo!!

Thanks to Tina for cleaning my apartment tongiht.  I'm gonna ask you to walk my dogs more often.

Alright...to bed, perchance to sleep.  Then tomorrow it's fun with counseling supervision and lots of class to sit through but not pay attention to.

I have senioritis all over again!!!

Today started out okay...slept until noon.  Fussed with my hair for about ten minutes and then said fuck it.  Then I went to see my practicum supervisor and she was actually on schedule...and things went down hill from there...

Apparently she's come to the realization that my thesis "does not relate to rehab".  So basically, all the research I've done so far is crap unless I can somehow link teen court to rehab counseling in a manor that makes her happy...And yet, writing papers about cloning are okay in a class on rehabilitation ethics.  Ooookay.  Someone really needs to give me a concrete definition of Rehabilitation Counseling.  The focus in our program is on people with physical disabilities...of course, there are only about, oh, six people in the program who actually want to work with that population.   Then there's a whole group that want to work with substance abuse, some people that want to do marriage and family and accidentally stumbled into the rehab department.  And then there's me and my fucked up kids...Sometimes I wonder if our professors even know what rehab means.

Things picked up a little tongiht because Dawson's Creek had a fabulous new episode.  It was really sad.  I've already watched it twice...I taped it...I think that's probably even more sad.  :::sigh:::

Thomas and I attempted to work on a project for our research class tonight.  He's convinced that two negatives make a positive and so we're motivating each other to study.  Personally, I think he's just someone for Zoe to bite other than me.

Tomorrow I get up at the crack of dawn, go to class for three hours, go work on a project with Thomas and then drive to Orlando to spend four fun filled days with my parents.  But at least I get to hang out with Renee...And I got a pretty dress for Easter.  Maybe mom and dad will finally notice the tongue ring and things will get interesting.  Any excuse to come back to Gainesville early is okay by me.

Somehow I've managed to convince myself that Gainesville isn't really in Florida.  Maybe it's all the crack I've been smoking.  :)

I have just barely been home for 24 hours and I'm already ready to leave or kill my parents.   Of course, fasting all day probably didn't make me that much fun to be around either.  I think it was only about 4 pm when my dad hinted that I might need a nap.  I wanted to say "no, dad, what I need is booze."  Of course, my parents don't keep alcohol in the house during Lent.  I tried to explain to them that the whole drinking-is-sinful thing is a manmade law and that jesus even drank wine on what was to become Good Friday.  The argument did not go over well.  I think I was weak on T.
Went and had coffee with Ryan tonight.  It was nice to catch up and be out of the house at the same time.  :)
To Thomas and Rebecca, I hope you both feel better soon.  If you want, I'll be injured/have mysterious thyroid problems and ya'll can fast and hang out with my insane relatives.  :)
Love you all.  Can't wait to get home.

Happy Easter!!  Hurray for soda and cable t.v.  :)  Wow, what a day.
Before I actually get to anything about today--major life update: DANIELLE FINALLY GOT A NEW CAR!!  I shouldn't say car, I should say big ass truck...well not really big...I got a Honda CRV-Special Edition.  It has CD and Cassette and Leather and I don't have to start paying for it until June, so I'm very excited.  Oh yeah, and it's silver.  Thus, it's not a chick car, but it's not a butch car either.  You know me, always trying to find the balance.  Eventually I will put a picture of it up on here somewhere.  Probably on my
pets page.

Last night Renee and I went downtown for the first time since before New Years.  We just kind of milled around and ending up going to this place where she got her belly button pierced to get new jewlery.  I've been having issues with my tongue ring (I hadn't been able to figure out how to take it out) and long story short: the guy that changed out our jewlery was SO rude.  Apparently he usually does tatoos and he got stuck working with piercings that night too.  He was just extraordinarily obnoxious and I'm still ranting about it 24 hours later.
I finally got a new crystal.  I think Matt has the old one, but I'm not sure.  I may have taken it back from him at some point when I was really angry.  All I know is that he used to wear it all the time and now he doesn't.

Anyway, on to Easter.  Went to church.  Went to brunch.  Finally told my parents I got my tongue pierced (Happy Easter, Mom and Dad).  Drove back to Gainesville for a URA Meeting.  Although it won't be official until Wednesday, it looks as though I am the new Vice President of the University Rehabilitation Association.  I think we're gonna have a blast and hopefully get something accomplished in the process.  I  also think we're going to have all our meetings accompanied by lots of beer.  We shall see.  :)

Another big decision was made in the past 24 hours, but I'm saving that surprise for another day.  Bis morgen, meine Freunden!!

I know, I know...I am a journal slack ass.  Actually, I've just been extremely busy failing exams that I stay up all night studying for.  Last night Thomas and I were hallucinating train noises...what's scary is that we both heard them...there are no train tracks near my apartment.  Today I officially got elected to the position of Vice President of URA (University Rehabilitation Association).  I'm very excited.  So far I've set up a list serv--woohoo!!  Anyway, this is gonna be a short one because I'm completely exhausted and I think Thomas took our shared brain home with him tonight.  Or at least what's left of it after the exam hell I've been dealing with this week.  One more in class exam, one take home, and a paper to go!  And then it starts all over again with the 17 credits I get to take this summer.  Fun for me.
