Barbets of Malaysia (2002)
(Left)
This is a collective portrait of most of the forest barbets of peninsular Malaysia with the exception of the Lineated Barbet. The medium used for this composition is ballpen of 4 different colours.

Barbets are interesting subjects for wildlife portraits. While there is a great deal of uniformity in their sizes and gizz, they exhibit remarkable variation in their facial patterns, proportions and colours. Most of them a variations upon a theme. All of them have whiskers, thick fat bills and big heads, at the same time, the faces of some are dominated by blue, black, some red, some yellow and some green.
Lammergeier and Company (2004) (Above)
This detailed sketch of the Lammergeier is based on real-life observations in Nainital, where there is a resident pair. They are among my favourite birds in birdwatching partly due to their scarcity, as well as the grandeur in flight. This is perhaps the third largest bird-of-prey in Asia.

Lammergeier over Himalayas (1998) (Right)
