11.26.03 This is more at Sandankyo - pause a moment to appreciate how emerald-green and clear that water is. This was a little waterfall off the main way, but was probably the most beautiful thing there. Today I did more sitting around being bored and annoyed than I have in the last year, so much so that I would say I did a pantload of it without blinking an eye, and with some calculation might even venture to push it towards two full pantloads. There was no real reason, just a series of isolated boring incidents that kept linking into other boring incidents to form a Chain of Dullness so boring that it formed a Tepid Hole, which sucked all entertainment in Japan into itself, replacing it with enough boring to drill all the way through the Earth. Bah. Rarely have I wished for a book more; the worst part is that I picked up a book and nearly brought it to school with me, and then for some cursed reason left it behind. Blast and tarnation. Tomorrow is of course Thanksgiving, which I guess I will get to celebrate an action-packed 17 hours ahead of most of you. The Americans and I are going to try to pound out the best Thanksgiving feast we can without any cooking skill or knowledge of Thanksgiving preparations. Apparently with some effort we could get our hands on a turkey, but I am extremely doubtful of the ability of the tiny microwave/oven hybrids we have in the dorm to handle a whole turkey, even if it would apparently be smaller than normal. In any case it should be fun, and tomorrow hails the beginning of the Christmas season, which means all the Christmas music I can stomach and more. I am starting to freeze, and have begun to realize that I have no choice but to shell out and buy some heavy winter clothes. Nonetheless, I feel like an idiot buying clothes most of the time and don't particularly want to. The only real incentive is that I'll be able to find all sorts of great Engrish clothing and, just maybe, if I shave and do my hair just right, convince some of them to come home with me. This picture is another mountain at Sandankyo, but I put it up because it looks just like the mountain in that one castle with the green and gold dragons in Heroes of Might and Magic III. Um. I mean, it has nothing to do with a video game, and I took it only because of its stately beauty. Yes. That's right. Move along. - Gyaa! I'm give up |

But you wouldn't believe how much crystal you need to get this thing to start producing dragons. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
