The trips portion of the site has just had a makeover. I added our most recent trip to Calistoga and reorganized the layout. Just trying to keep busy when otherwise out of work. The tilesetting has been busy off and on. Overall, it is more money, and I enjoy having time to myself. So I am not upset about idle time in general.

Today was my first time volunteering in an elementary classroom setting. I observed Mr. Schine's 5th Graders at Alamo Elementary here in San Francisco. Alamo is the only school in the city with a foundation that supplements the physical education, arts, and music programs at the school. The kids are very exciting to be around, full of so much energy and excitement.

Eliza just rode her motorcycle on the freeway for the first time by herself and is ready to tackle anything! She called from Marin where she is visiting Monika who attends College there in San Rafael. I hope she is having a good time...

Well a few things have occured since I last posted to this page. I have a new job with Larry Dillon Tile and Marble of San Carlos, CA. I am also pursuing a Teaching Credential for Elementary grade children. I just sold my Ranger and have cut my tranportation costs immensely. After the accident, I decided to just sell it to a young man who will use it as a work truck. It is a strange feeling of freedom to have only the motorcycle to concentrate on. I haven't been a single-vehicle-owner since 1996!

Motorcycle mania is catching on around here - Eliza now rides a Ninja. It is a wonderful bike, and I think she willl get a lot of enjoyment out of it. She has her permit and has only to show up at the DMV to get her permanent license. She took the Motocycle Safety Foundation new rider course and passed easily.

Watch this site for some new additions, especially in the Trips section, as Eliza and I have agreed to chronicle our future trips...
