Gerhard Himmelreich, son of Arnold de Sticke von Holte. Received in 1235 the jurisdiction over the village and church in Bramsche, This as compensation for his house and lands called Himmelreich at the Saint Catharine Churchyard in Osnabruck, that he gifted to the Church. Also known from this time till 1243 as the knight Gerhard de Bramsche. |

Herman de Bramsche, also known as Hermann de Penethe. Married with Adelheid von Schagen. From 1260 till 1278 judge over the territory of Bramsche and lord protector of the Monastery Malgarten. |

Johann de Bramsche, married with Anna de Hovet alias Anna de Rieste. In 1293 and 1297 lord protector from the Monastery Malgarten. He died before 1306 when his mother exchange the inherited possesions in Bramsche, Penthe and Rieste. |

Arndt von der Oweste, in 1339 directing the works on a new waterway (de hohe hase) in order of the Monastery Malgarten and the Knights of Malta in Rieste. Between 1351 and 1385 he became vassal to the Knights of Malta in Lage Rieste and did get a fief of 81 acres of land at Rieste. After he died this land will be seperated by his two sons, Hermann tor Ovest and Kerstien tor Ovest. These two sons are the ancestors of all the Zur Oveste descendants. |

Kerstien tor Ovest, in 1403 vassal on the fief estate Zur Oveste, 46 acres in size and in ownership of the feudal overlords `The Knights of Malta`. He was however in the eyes of the peasantry ` Folk Free`, that ment free in the eyes of the people and had every 6 years the right to held the office of alderman for the time of one year. Also he had the duty to function as a esquire (fahnenjunker) to the Knights of Malta when it was asked for but had some freedom of taxes. He died in 1424. |

Hermann tor Ovest, in 1449 named on the cattle tax register and in 1456 styled ` Knappe` (esquire) in a complain of a lawsuit against the Knight Johann and Giseke von Stempel about the boundery of the Riester Grounds. |

Arend tor Ovest, in 1460 fighting under the flag of the Knight Johann von Stempel to protect Bramsche and Rieste against the force of the Knight Gerard Blom. |

Hermann tor Ovest, in 1490 named on the cattle tax register with 20 sheep, 20 chicken, 8 cows, 2 oxes, 5 pigs and 5 horses, next to the 46 acres of land. |

Arend tor Ovest, in 1532, 1542 and 1550 named on the cattle tax register. In 1542 also named on the turc taxregister (the country did raise money to fight against the turcs) with 42 names present in Rieste, under the first 4 richest farmers in Rieste. In 1556 named as master of the hunting for ducks and as taxofficer of the land, by this he was allowed to sitt at the table in Castle of the Knights of Malta in Lage. |

Christian Zur Owest, in 1589 and 1601 named on the cattle tax register. In 1577 named as taxofficer of the land by what certain subjected farms to his leasehold estate were taxfree. |

Arend Zur Oveste, in 1625 he received the duty to protect and guard the boundery´s of the territory of the Knights of Malta in Lage. Next to this he was taxofficer for the country, he had free hunting- and fishingrights on 1 acre of his estate, certain freedom of taxes and had the fief over 46 acres of land called `Kessen Zur Oveste`. He died ca. 1656 after he erected in 1652 the new farm that still is present today. In 1654 he was styled with the title `Sir` by the Knights of Malta. He was married to Maria Catharina Enkelstroth, daughter of Heinrich Enkelstroth and Gesege Arndtsdr. Richtering. |

Christian Friederich Zur Oeveste, in 1667 named as the taxofficer `Greve Kehsens` (Officer Christian) of the Osnabrucker land who obtained the small farm `Covern`. In 1693 he took part on the shooting tournament and was styled the corporal in the order of Malta. He had the same rights and duty´s as his ancestors and lived on the estate `Kehsens Zur Oeveste` and was named every 6 years district alderman and master of the hunt for ducks. He was married to Elisabeth Covern. |

Hermann Rudolphus Zur Overste, he married in 1695 with Margareta Catharina Wibbolts, the daughter of the vicar Dietrich Wibbolts. He died in the year 1752 on his 46 acres large fief estate but also had the usage of 23 acres in the territorial common grounds. In 1723 named as alderman of the district Rieste. |

Christian Hermann Zur Overste, he was born 1734 in Rieste and married in february 1772 met Aaltje Jans Rasp (Oevermans) in Sappemeer in Holland. He came as a contract farmworker to Holland as his older brother in 1752 succeeded in succession of the ancestrial estate. He died according family history in 1777 at the Westerwald on a travel to his ancestrial estate, leaving his wife and 2 childeren (Aaltje and Harm) behind. |

Harm Christiaan Zuroverste, he was baptized 23 march 1774 at Sappemeer and married 29 april 1810 with Jantje Hindriks Mulder. He died 13 februar 1855 to Hoogezand, where he was farmworker by Geert Emanuel Lutke Stokdijk and lived in a small house at the Kalkwijk in Hoogezand. |
