a tale of me

a nobody,that's me..

i never considered myself extraordinary. i never counted myself among those who would stand in the midst of multitude. i never thought of myself someone special.
. i am nobody. among those who'll be forgotten. among the dull and mediocres. among the taken for granted. among the unfamiliar faces, in the vast sea of strangers.
i am nothing. i don't own a king's wealth. i got few things to call my own- few books and stack-pile of readings, that's all. all my stuffs are taken care by my beloved mother.you see, i'm as poor as a pauper. as miserable as a dispossessed.

my family, my inspiration

my inspiration ours is a broken home... i only have a mother to fend me and my two other siblings. the three of us were raised, molded and spanked mostly by our lola. our mother was used to be designated in far municipalities, so she's away most of the times. she often missed our birthdays and quite a number of PTA meetings. but we never complained..we knew that if she'll stay at home, we'd all get empty stomach, unable to go to school.. though she's away most of the times, she's completely supportive especially when it comes to our studies, everytime we have quiz bee competitions out of town, she's always with me. a stage mother, that's what she is... i couldn't help but suppress a smile everytime i would see her much more nervous and tensed than i am when the emcee get to announce the winners. she holds my little hand with a tight grip as if we're walking in a crowdy street, afraid that i might get stray otherwise. she's a constant source of strength for me. she is definitely the best mother in the world!

a pretty phase

at an early age, i started to show interests with schooling, my mother told me. being so eager then, we went to the nearby elementary school. the teacher refused to admit me, i was still too young she said. we went to kindergarten after, had an instant interview with the school adminstrator and instantly took the admission exam. a cheerful and joyous joy went home that afternoon, mother would always recall that incident.
the rest of my chidhood? i can say, generally i experienced a happy and unforgettable childhood. i went through the same stupid troubles of breaking a glass/plate and hiding the debris, earning scars for countless falls and mishaps, having petty quarrels with friends and siblings oftentimes, and of course - committing lies and paltry mischiefs.
with adolescence came, of course, the untold list of crushes or infatuations, barkada gimmicks and quite a number of glitches. to sum it all, true as what most say, my highschool life is indeed the most unforgettable chapter of my life.
a tough phase

after highschool graduation i thought of going through the next episode of my life, so i decided to start anew. going to UP is one of the biggest decision in my life. life in UP is constantly bombarded with fork-roads and dilemmas. and so far, i'm not yet spilling any regrets for giving it a big try in here. it's both breathtakingly difficult and fulfilling at the same time.
it's true that UP is melting pot. you'll get to meet people from all wlaks of life, from all sorts of culture, ideologies and religion. it is where you'll learn to appreciate diversity more, as well as the value of acceptance and equality. life in UP is a humbling experience. a star in his/her highschool days is a commoner in here. no more limelight or whatsoever.. humbing it is, but truly worth it.
intriguing trivias

cuisine: strictly no vegetables!!! (spare me your lessons on nutrition please..) but i really don't know as well.. i prefer fried and grilled foods..
movie addict...movie addict...movie addict...movie addict...movie addict...
when reading books, i usually start at the last chapter.(brace yorself, check out the next one..) (checked the previous item?) i love spoilers.. hehe. i don't mind 'em..
for a lanky person like me, roughly 5'5 or 5'6, i got only a size 6 for my footwears..
a compulsive buyer most of the times.. please, never bring me along during shopping spree..
a crybaby / overly sensitive / immature / irritatingly irrational.. (daw)
i appreciate washing clothes more than washing dishes..
faves and craves

i'm a certified movie buff. before, i manage to go to movies twice or thrice in a week. unfortunately, i could no longer do such things today primarily because of my acads (....duh?) and some other 'indispensable' extra-curricular activities..hehe. i have an endless list of my ultimate favorites.. here's some of them, citizen kane, Vertigo, the bicycle thief, the abominable dr. phibes, phantom of the opera, road to perdition, count of monte cristo, city of gods, the last samurai, rules of engagement, schindler's list, bonnie and clyde, gone with the wind, shrek1&2, finding nemo, the village, amelie, y tu mama tambien, a very long engagement, jan dara, rat race.. LOTR and harry potter series... (i said endless right?hehe)
i love reading pocketbooks. being a hopeless romantic as i was before, i was so into Judith MacNaught before. her DOUBLE STANDARDS was my ultimate favorite.. eventually, some changes in preference ocurred and i began to love John Grisham so. i was caught with his FBI/lawyer-themed materials. i suddenly get ineterested with a little of law and sleuthing, and all that. i was so fascinated with the smart and juvenile Mark Sway in THE CLIENT. a friend recommended me David Eddings. it's some kind of tolkien thing, and i started to like it as well. i love Amy Tan's books as well, her joyluck club is definitely amazing.. included as well are the inspiring Paulo Coelho's and tear-jerker Nicholas Sparks' as well..
