From the former Dimestore Prophet, Justin Dillon Stevens, comes Justin Dillon And The Brilliantines.
Stylistically, this disc, which is only available on-line, has a bit more of an "acid jazz" feel than his works with DSP, however, his lyrics are still as sharp as his earlier work. The packaging is plain, however liner notes, lyrics, and additional album art, is available on Dillon's site.
Highlights of the album include the Paul McCartney-ish "Invade My Scene" and the bluesy "All I Need".
As the next step in the musical journey of Justin Dillon, this is well written, musically strong project. And as a fan of the Prophets, I can heartily recommend this album.
