I enjoyed your site very much. I found it interesting as well as informative and helpful.
The only thing for me was I could hardly read the first page and maybe 1 more because of the colors.

My husband and I quit our jobs in September of "99" to care for his parents. We lost Dad Aug.17,00 to renal failure and sepsis. Mom has A.D. I hope that we can continue to care for her at home, she is in a nasty stage right now and refuses help, tells us
o get out of her home etc. We sleep in shifts she can not be alone at all she tries to walk and has no balance. She has fallen 2x in 2 weeks. I'm hoping that reading about other peoples experiences will help us "keep on keepin on." Thank You! Roger &

I am 46 and a caregiver for my 73 yr old mother. She has AD. She also has a lot of other health problems but ad makes the rest even worse since she cant take care of herself. I love her so much and it hurts so bad . Sometimes I just sook at her and its li
e watching her die a little eack day. I can see the fear in her eyes sometimes. It breaks my heart to know I cant stop this horrible disease. She comforted me all my life when something went wrong and now I cant even help her.

Mant thanks for some clear and difficult to accept informationabout the stages of AD. I look after my wife who is in the early stages of dementia.
Can I share this prayer with you?
Jesus, good Physician,
Great Healer of mankind,
Have mercy on the weak and wan
And on the sick in mind
You now, dear Lord, alone
The trials of each one -
How some do for the night-time groan
And some long for the sun.
May Your near presence be
With all the sick and sore
And be with those who cross the sea
To the eternal shore
(Translated from Welsh by GWD: O Iesu'r Meddyg Da: Rev W Nantlais Williams)

Every since my husband's mother has been ill, it's been very hard on the family. He lives the closes. He 1 sister and brother help alot. But, the other 2 sister don't. They finally put her in the hospital as for she has gotten real bad. I really care alot
for everyone and wish it wasn't the hardest thing to do, but I know it is. We all must try to keep our chins up and know this is what is best for her. We all will always love her. But want what is really best for her.
Thank you for your input on this slow deadly illness. People all over should read more on this.

I enjoyed your North Carolina links and your Midi pages. I was, however, most impressed by your Alzheimer's Pages and the emotions and passions they invoked. Great job.
