ATCP Fees

Please Note: These figures are based on information from May 1, 1998. All tuition, fees, test and application costs are subject to change. Each amount due is decided solely by the ATCP, Prairie View A&M University, the State Board for Educator Certification and NES Inc., respectively. The ATCP is not responsible for policy or fee changes by any of these other agencies.

Fees Paid to the ATCP

$50.00 Application Fee
-Due upon submission of the ATCP Application
-Submit to ATCP Office in the Delco Bldg. Room 120

$3,200.00 Intern Fee
-Payment begins upon intern employment with a school district.
-Payments are automatically deducted from your paycheck by the district and submitted to the ATCP in two payments.
Fees Paid to the University

$10.00 Graduate School Application Fee
-Due upon submission of the Graduate School Application (admission to the Graduate School is considered part of the application process for the ATCP).
-Submit to Graduate School in the Delco Bldg. Room 232

Please note: All tuition prices given are for Texas residents. Non-resident prices will differ from those given. All amounts provided are approximate - parking and other fees may not be reflected in this amount.

-Due before June 22, 1998
-Submit payment to the Cashier's Office in the W.R. Banks Bldg. 1st Floor

-Due before July 24, 1998
-Submit payment to the Cashier's Office in the W.R. Banks Bldg. 1st Floor

$372.00 Fall Session Tuition
-1/2 of total amount due before September 21, 1998 the 2 remaining installment payment dates TBA -Submit to the Cashier's Office in the W.R. Banks Bldg. 1st Floor

$372.00 Spring Session Tuition (based on fall tuition costs but may change)
-Due before TBA
-Submit to the Cashier's Office in the W.R. Banks Bldg. 1st Floor

$5.00 Official PVAMU Transcript
-Due upon completion of all 4 required ATCP courses
-Submit to Registrar's office in the W.R. Banks Bldg. 1st Floor


Fees Paid to the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC)

$50.00 Probationary Certificate Application Fee
-Due within 14 days of signing a contract with a school district
-A completed application and a money order made out to SBEC should be returned to the ATCP Office for verification. The ATCP is responsible for mailing the application to the state.

$75.00 Provisional Certificate Application Fee
-Due upon completion of all ATCP requirements (for most interns that will be June 1999).
-A completed application and a money order made out to SBEC should be returned to the ATCP Office for verification. The ATCP is responsible for mailing the application to the state.
Fees for ExCET Exam Registration from National Evaluation Systems, Inc. (Administrators of the ExCET exam)

$72.00 Secondary Professional DevelopmentExCET Registration Fee
-Due TBA
-A completed registration form and a money order made payable to NES should be turned into the ATCP Office for verification and issuance of an eligibility barcode. The ATCP office is responsible for mailing the registration forms to National Evaluating Systems, Inc.
