Dear Congressman Don Young My name is Larry D. Edwards, and I voted for you in the passed election. But I have a few questions For You concerning The still unresolved issue of the POW-MIA's still yet unaccounted for from the Vietnam War. I know you care about the Veterans, but there is a question still unanswered and thats what I am writing you about. Why after over twenty years has the United States Government not demanded a settlement on this issue. Have you all forgot that you work for the people, the POW-MIA's they are people to. The only thing different is that the Government of this Great Country, Seems to have turned it's back or else closed it's eyes to the issue. This issue is unresovled, Don, don't you think it is time to resolve it. You as My United States Congressman Can Do Something About It. Please for the Glory of this Great Country Do everything you can to get them home or at least an accounting for them as to their real status. Don since you are on the internet I would like you to visit the following web pages known as the POW-MIA Ring you may enter through my page located at the following site just click http://www.oocities.org/Yosemite/Trails/3384/powmiapage2.html Don take a look and check often as the ring grows give us your support and help. Thank you for contacting me by way of the Internet! I'm excited to be a part of the Information Revolution that is helping to connect fellow Alaskans to my Washington, D.C. office. The fact that you can contact me simply by turning on your computer definitely cuts down on the time it takes to get a letter from Alaska to Washington. I hope that Alaskans will take advantage of this service and let me know how you feel it is working.
Answers to some of your questions are just a few keystrokes away - at my web site. Please visit me at:
http://www.house.gov/donyoung/welcome.htm
My web page contains my positions on various issues important to the State of Alaska as well as nationally. Also included on the web site are recent press releases so that you can get up to the minute information.
Like any new service, there are bound to be a few kinks that need working out. For now, I will respond to Alaskan e-mail messages using the U.S. Postal Service. Why? Until the U.S. House of Representatives decides how to properly safeguard the integrity of its e-mail messages, the best and safest way to respond to your concerns is by regular mail. It is far easier to block, modify, or outright forge an electronic message than it is a physical letter.
Please send your electronic message (including your name and mailing address) to:
mailto:Don.Young@mail.house.gov
Again, I appreciate hearing from you. If you have any further questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone at (202) 225-5765. Your thoughts and views are always welcome.
Sincerely, DON YOUNG Congressman for all Alaska
My Current Actions.
As requested by Congressman Young I have forwarded my home address and resent my letter I got the same reply back as above so I will wait to hear from him thru the mail. When I get it I will post it.
