I am just beginning to do research on my father side of the family. His name was Robert Larose and his parents were Paul and Lena LaRose. He was born in Ogdensburg NY in 1931. Supposedely, his father was from the Alsace region in France.

My great great grandfather was Jean Baptiste LaRose dit Deguire, my great great grandfather was Charles Roy LaRose, my grandfather was Gaspard Giuseppe LaRose (Jasper, Jeff) and my father was Willis Anthony LaRose. Thanks for sharing all your hard work. My main family line is Marquerite Cyr (my grandmother), Joseph Cyr born 1817 (my great grandfather), Jean-Marie Cyr 1774 (my gg grandfather), Joseph Cyr died 1806 (my ggg grandfather), Jean-Baptiste Cyr 1710 (my gggg grandfather), Jean Sire 1671 (my ggggg grandfather) & stopping with Pierre Sire 1644. The other side of my family is Roy, also Acadian who were from Madawaska, New Brunswick & before that Quebec. Don't know if I would have any info. that w uld be of interest, but if so I would be happy to share with you. I notice you live in Larimore, ND. I am north of you in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Hi Nancy, We are related my Ancester are the same as yours but a different line. I have so many lines going back to France in the 1600's and yours is one of them because I recognized the names. My fathers mother was a Daigle and I think the Daigles (and ther Surnames) are her cousins. Great site keep it up.

Nancy...My father,Alfred Napoleon LaRose was born around 1906 in Plattsburg New York...His father was Joseph and his mother Emma (Florentine)...there were 9 children but we have litttle information about any of them...I do have some of dads siblings names .. Leroy, Beatrice, Adolph, Elga, Albina, and Howard..Also of French Canadian descent...any connection?

I came in to view you genealogy research, because when I entered the person I'm researching on the Latter DAy Saints website search form your website was listed as having info on the (Morvant) surname. I've just started my family's geneology. A friend has done previous research and I did find some of those names on your list. I'm sure I will be visiting your site again. Great Grandmother was Mary Couture from Quebec. I understand her father was a mayor and she was educated in Switzerland, married an Irishman named Michael McDonough and lived in Phila. I too am at a standstill with this genealogy. I was glad to find your web site though. Gives me hope.
