I have been trying to learn who the ancestors were of my grandmother, MARY JANE ("Mollie") BEASLEY. At the moment my certified genealogist has come upon a man by the name of HICKMAN BEASLEY whose sons were JUNIUS and WILLIAM HICKMAN. One of these sons could be my grandmother's, father. Since I have no family records of any kind because my grandparents were deceased long before my birth. My grandmother Mollie mar ARELIOUS TAITTE and after his death, mar again; thus no records were given to the children of her first marriage. From the AR census records, Hickman Beasley was born in Alabama. If you have any information regarding a Hickman, I would appreciate having it. Thank you.

Looking for info on ancestors and descendants of JOHN BEASLEY and his wife LANEY HUTCHINSON, who were my great grandparents. Also looking for connection between them and JOHN BEASLEY who was killed in action at Ft. Sumter, Charleston, SC on 28 Jul 1863. My grandfather was JONAH E. BEASLEY, one of 8 sons. John's brothers were GEORGE, HARMON, PERRY, MACKEY, CHARLES ("Charlie") and two more. My grandfather Jonah E. was b 18 Nov 1878 so the John who was killed in action at Ft. Sumter could not have been his father but a grandfather perhaps? My father was WILLIE D. BEASLEY Sr. who had a brother, CLIFFORD LEON and sisters EMMA and RUBY MAE. They were born in what was then Montgomery Co., now Treutlen Co. (Soperton), Ga. Willie's ch: WILLIE D. Jr., JERROD, JUDITH, BARBARA K., JEFFERY T., DEBORAH VIRGINIA ("Ginger") and myself, MARY FRANCES BEASLEY (TESTON). I remember asking my grandpa where our branch of the family came from and he said "Just Carolina", so I don't know as yet which one.

I have been trying to find info on my great great great grandfather NEHEMIAH BEASLEY Sr. We are not sure where he was born but know he died in either Grant Co., Madison Co., or Estill Co., Ky. He mar ??? PORTWOOD from the Waco, Madison Co., Ky. area. We think they were in Grant Co, Ky. abt 1833 since that is when my great great grandfather NEHEMIAH BEASLEY Jr. was born. They both were farmers, with carpentry skills. From family info it is our understanding we are originally from Sussex, England. My ancestors were farmers and carpenters and became indentured with a ship building company in Barbados where they worked their time until they came to America thru the Carolinas, then to Tennessee and on to Ky.
