EMMETT BROWN 1900 to 1910 (Ky. ?)

I am just starting this search for family. My grandparents were EMMETT BROWN and ELSIE BROWN (her maiden name also). They both were born in the 1900's or 1910's. Elsie was from Kentucky. She was one of 10 orphans. Another member of my family has tried to look up history on her and have hit dead ends. Some of her siblings names are ANNE, MATTHEW JAMES, PAT, DEWEY and ROY BROWN. Emmett was my grandfather and his history is even more mysterious. The family history is that he came up on a pan handlers wagon from Texas and no one knows his family history. He died in the 60's. They lived in Diamond, WVa., where they had 3 ch: BONNIE ANNE, LINDA JANE and MATTHEW JAMES BROWN. If anyone has any info on them I would greatly appreciate it.
