Looking for descendants or ancestors of JOHN ROBERT WARD (1853 Cowes, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, England) and ELLEN DINMER who were mar in 1875 in St. Marys Parish Church, Portsea, Hampshire, England. John was born in 1853 in Cowes, Isle of Wright, Hampshire and Ellen at Broadchalk, Wiltshire.

Va. & NC mid-1700's

Just received photo of ggggrandma JULIA ANN WARD (POE), dau of STEPHEN and ABIGAIL WARD Sr. Stephen Sr. was a son of NATHAN SANDERS and SARAH (of Cherokee Indian descent) who pioneered in Grayson Co. Va. and Ashe Co. NC in the mid 1700's. Looking for siblings and dates of all the above mentioned. Will share photo. In another line I have LEVI ELDRETH whose first wife was ABIGAIL WARD around 1830 in Ashe Co. NC. In still another line I have a NANCY WARD (b abt 1821) who mar Herschal Dunn in Grayson Co. VA in 1837. This Nancy also mar the above mentioned Levi Eldreth after Herschal's death and the death of Abigail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am searching for the parents of AUSTIN WARD (b abt. 1832 in Ga.). He joined the Confederate States Army in 1862 in Atlanta and a WILLIAM WARD joined the same day. I assume they are brothers. I am looking for proof. William survived the War and lived some in Cherokee Co., Ga; Bartow Co., Ga; and then Dekalb Co. I believe. I am looking for William's ancestors.

I'm looking for Wards related to my mother; her parents were FREDERICK WARD (1865--1914) and HILDA Ward (1896-1954) in Dennington, Suffolk, England. Frederick was the son of CHARLES WARD (1836-1914) and ELIZABETH (1844). Their other ch were: ALBERT, MARYANN, ELLEN, LYDIA and ELIZABETH. All except his mother were born in Dennington in Suffolk England. I would like to find any links either before Charles or after Hilda.

His father and mother was from SC and his mother was named PRISCILLA. John's siblings were MARY, BETSY, JAMES, JERRY (Jeremiah?), EDWARD and WILLIAM. After her husband died, Priscilla Ward mar HERMAN LANE in the Columbia Co FL area. Their ch: CHARLES LANE. I would appreciate any help that you can give me.

I am interested in info on my ancestors. My grandfather, MAYTON SAMUEL ("Noogie") WARD passed away recently and I don't have any idea where he came from. All I know is that Mayton was born 4 July 1916 in Groesbeck, Tx. where he lived until his death. He was buried in Thornton City Cemetery 28 Jun 2000. I know nothing of his ancestors and would appreciate any help.

I live in Denver, CO. I have only three generations of WARDs in my family at this time. I am hoping that y'all can help with the next generation. I have looked for several years. I am searching for ancestors of my great grandfather, THOMAS JEFFERSON WARD (28 Mar 1854 in Ga. -- 20 Mar 1919 place unknown) mar LOUISA VIOLA TUCKER 5 Sep 1881 in Elmore Co., Al. (she was b 2 May 1869 in Elmore Co.--18 Aug 1929 in Montgomery, bur Greenwood Cemetery). Their ch: FERNANDO, CAPITOLA, OLIE M., WILLIE RICHARD, BETSY DELINDA, LEONA ("Lonee"), MABLE C., MOLLIE C. ZEOLA ("Zola"), THOMAS LEWIS ("Tommy Lou") and MINNIE IDELLA. Fernando was born in Tx. (the eldest, I think), all other ch were b in Al. The family tale is that TJ got into trouble with the law and fled to Texas. There he joined the Sam Bass gang and again was sought by the law. He then returned to Alabama. My grandfather Fernando (28 Feb 1884/86 in Tx. -- 29 Jan 1944 in Montgomery, bur Pine Level Methodist Church Cemetery, Autauga Co., Al.) mar ESTELLE LYDA TATUM 16 Apr 1916 in Autauga Co. (b 4 Apr 1898 in Pine Flat, Autauga Co.--29 Jan 1988, bur Pine Level Church). Their ch: BERRY ELDREDGE, FEREST ELZY, ZELLAH REE, COLLEEN, MEDY ISABELLE, HEDY ESTELLE, MONTGOMERY and DEBORAH MERTIN. My mother is Zellah Ree (1 May 1920 -- 13 Jun 1992 in Montgomery, Al., bur Forest Hills Cemetery there) mar RALPH MILLS Sr. 1 May 1937 in Autauga Co., Al. (he was b 22 Sep 1918 Covington Co., Al.--6 Dec 1986 in Montgomery, bur Forest Hills). Their ch: RALPH Jr., MALCOMBE and JAMES ANDREW MILLS.

Looking for connection to the ancestors of Ward sisters: DICE WARD (b 1789) and NANCY WARD (b. 1780--1840) daus of SAMUEL WARD and ELIZABETH HUDSON. Nancy mar YELVERTON THAXTON in 1801 and Dice mar CHARLES THAXTON in 1806 (they were brothers). The two families moved to Georgia in the early 1800s and eventually settled in Butts Co. Later, Nancy and Charles moved to Chambers Co., Alabama. where Nancy died in 1840.

I am looking for ROBERT J. WARD, from Scott Co., KY. He served in the Kentucky House of Representatives in the l820's. He was Speaker of the House in l824. He was a leading citizen of Louisville. Very rich. His daughter SALLIE WARD (DOWNS) was quite famous. I have a great deal of info on her. Also looking for SQUIRE ROBERT WARD who settled in Knox Co., IL. His daughter PHEBE was my great grandmother. Any help will be appreciated

Searching for the parents of JOHN WARD Sr. (b ca 1806 in NC). I found him living in Weakley Co., TN starting on the1830 census. John was mar twice, first to MARGARET; their ch: CAROLINE (1831), PEONICEA (1835), WILLIAM (1837), JOHN Jr. (1838), JAMES (1841), MARTHA (1843), ISAAC (1846), ELBERT (1850). John Sr. mar 2nd, CATHERINE. They were living in Weakley Co. in 1860. Their ch: GEORGE MADISON (1859) and THOMAS (1861). Sometime during the War for Southern Independence, the family moved to Dunklin Co., MO. Any info on the family would be greatly appreciated.

The family moved from NC to KY., to TN., to Marshall Co., Ms. Lydia Narcissus, my gggm, mar JOSIAH TERRY BOONE and 2nd WILLIAM J. CANNON; lived and died in Holly Springs, Marshall Co. I would appreciate any help on info on Alfred's and Abitha (Tabitha?) Elizabeth Lehew's parents/siblings.
