Shui Long's Dictionary of Acronyms | Smileys and Acronyms Dictionary

• Wait patiently for the ParaChat Java Chat Room Box To Appear.
• Fill out the Nick Name box.
  The other boxes aren't necessary.
  Notice that there are no spaces allowed in the name.
• Click the OK, Connect! Button.

• The names of those who are in the classroom at the time will appear on the right of your screen in the User Info Box.

  
  

• On the left of your screen you will see the Chat Box. This is where information about your connection to ParaChat will appear. Your enterance into the room will be "announced" here. The conversation of those who are speaking publicly will appear/scroll down in this box.

  
  
• To speak to the "Room" type your remark in the Type Here Box.
  
• Click Return/Enter.
  
• Notice that you may choose to speak to a User privately by using the Private Chat Option.
  Any private conversations you have will be visable in the Chat Box, but only the person you are speaking to privately and you can see those remarks.
