My Botcon '97 Journal

This year's Botcon convention was held at the Riverside Convention Center in Rochester New York. It was put on by the same guys who began and developed Botcon (as well as running the very first convention). I thought I would transcribe my time at Botcon '97 since I had more fun than I've ever had in my life. All weekend there were Transformers information, bonding, and (most importantly) memories!! It was a weekend I'll never forget!!

Mind you.....I won't go into a lot of detail as some people do. I just will highlight the main things I did the specific day and try to give you an understanding of what goes on at Botcon!!! It's one spectacular ride.....that's for sure!!!

I went with my girlfriend Melanie (who I have recently dragged into my TF universe) and my mother (she went to get out of the house). We didn't really know what to expect when we preregistered for this event. What we got was something of sure amazement!! The fun never stopped and even my mother would agree that this was the best convention we have ever been to!

I have first split the journal up into the three days of the actual convention. The first night, Friday, was reserved for the dinner attendees. The dinner was an exclusive get together that was sort of a "getting started" ceremony. There also was an exclusive "give-away" there. The actual convention began Saturday and continued until 6:15 Sunday night. After the three days, I added an Epilogue which will quickly talk about Monday's events (mainly getting home) and a Botcon '97 Exclusives reviews section which will describe the many exclusives available at the convention!! Thanks for reading my Botcon '97 journal. It was a spectacular time. I would go through the gun shots and fire drills at the Hotel just to do Botcon all over again!! I hope it's near the house next year so I can go once again!! Well.....until next time! BTW....send in your Botcon comments if you were there!! Would love to hear em!!!
