Having a penpal is an excellent way of finding out more about another country and its culture, as well as making a new friend. Any member of the Guide Association over the age of nine can apply for a penfriend in the UK or another country by writing to her post box secretary. Write to the post box secretary at the address below for a penfriend. You will need to include the following information in your letter :

• Your name and address
• Which country you would like a penpal to come from, you should also give a second choice
• Details of any languages you speak
• The name of your unit
• A stamped self-addressed envelope.
