The Summer 2000 Challenge is something for Guides to do during the Summer Holidays either on their own, with other Guides or with friends. It was designed for the Guides in 1st Chelsea, which is a unit based in central London, so some of the challenges are London or urban based. The challenge is entirely optional, each girl can choose to do as many or as few of the challenges as she wants to.
There are a number of points allocated to each challenge, anything from 150 points to 500 points, depending on the difficulty of the challenge and the time it will take to complete it. Two challenges have the opportunity to earn bonus points by taking the challenge a stage further. There is a special Millennium Badge that will awarded to those Guides gaining 2000 or more Challenge Points. Print off a copy of the list of Challenges below and as each challenge is completed, sign and date your copy. Alternatively, if you do not have a printer, make your own chart to complete. Finally, please ask your parent's permission to do the challenges before you do them. Some challenges might require adult supervision, particularly for younger Guides, for example cooking.
