Doug's Poems

Poems By Douglas Galvery

Here be the compositions of an old aquaintance. He is a most talented bard

Rainforest extinction, ozone depletion
Ridding ourselves of the oxygen we breath in
Random violence, rape victims in silence
We don't stand up, living life in compliance.

Chemical warfare, wives in despair
Spreading diseases that we can no longer repair
The rich are wasting meat, the poor live in the street
Yet we do very little to give the helpless food to eat.

It is time to come together, fight to live forever
The time is now, we must act fact, it has come to now or never
Unify as one, rectify what u have done
earth is all we got and if we waste it we'll have none.

A pit opens under us Hollow walls, like a heart with no soul
Fire attacking from below Wander aimlessly, death is your goal
Rising is the Demoness No pain, no sorrow, no love to feel
Who's come to take your soul. Life has ended, it lost it's appeal

Two in the morning Below the Earth's surface
A chill through the night Behind water and rock
Crickets stop chirping Surrounded by lava
For death is coming tonight Sitting on a red block

Strong winds begin to blow The almightly Lucifer
A pain you feel down deep The name of the devil
You collapse to the ground All around the world
Then death.......Eternal sleep. For your honour we revel.

What is life if your soul is sold?
What is life at a hundred years old?
What is life when you are dead and rotten?
It is a past dream that can only be forgotten

Coldness drifts, the sky is bleak
Clouds come in, the moon at it's peak
A silent howl.....how could that be?
Death controls your mind.....insanity
