Another Life, Another Death
A dark soul that wishes for an end
A wasted life, no point only pretend
A lonely cry, no company in silent misery
A loss unnoticed, no despair or joyful revelry
Death Is...
Death is a sign that the times are changing
Death is the end, or is it the begining?
Death is relief from the pain of living
Death is the rest to which we're all heading
Life
To live is to die To live is to die
To care is to cry To care is to cry
To ere then ask why Always waving goodbye
Is only human F.Y.I. Always breaking a tie
Lifemate
A lone wolf wanders through the land,
A lone wolf searches for a pack,
From mountain tops to desert sand,
From city limits to wild outback.
Driven by a hunger from deep within,
Driven by a hunger for belonging,
Desperately searching for some kin,
A mate for life to share the hunting.
The Stranger
A stranger walks along the path
unseen by one and all.
The path he walks becomes a cliff
with no way back or down.
Nothing lies in front of him
and nothing lies behind.
The cliff has now become a ridge
with nothing all around.
Treasure
Hidden in seclusion,
Hidden in plain view,
Seen and yet unseen,
A treasure with no price.
Priceless for no value?
Priceless for a dime?
Treasure or a trinket,
Depends upon your sight.
Voices In The Night
When the clock chimes the witching hour,
the voices start their soft whisper,
telling of thoughts from deep dark corners,
relating events mundane and frivolous.
With the rising of dawn the voices stop,
and the land awakens for daytime living,
thoughts are stored liked harvested crop,
awaiting the fateful midnight ringing.
The Highlander is one of my favourite tv series and I have always enjoyed making up little poems about it.
Darius
Duncan's mentor
Archrival at first
Royally evil willed
In times long foretold
Until in battle he killed
Some soul pure and old.
Duncan
Dark is his looks, so too his life
Unaware are we of his imortality
No stranger to danger, war and strife
Calm and collected he faces destiny
A fighter extraodinair, he favours the katana
Now filled with despair, he lost dear Tessa
The Gathering
In the dead of night or the middle of the day
In secluded places or where people play
Listen hard and you might hear
The clash of steel on steel, a fierce fray
Warriors in combat, a fearsome sight
Flying sparks amidst screams of pain and delight
With the stroke of a sword and the fall of a head
The quickening released, power in electric light
Knowledge and wisdom from those already fallen
Sends pain unenduring coursing through veins like lava molten
The victor's body like a conductor of lightning
What is the prize at the end of the Gathering?
Here's another one inspired by a TV series. This time by the Buffy spin-off, Angel.
Angel
He is a shadow in a city of light,
Stalking the streets in the dead of the night,
He is a protector that stays out of sight,
Not unlike a certain dark knight.
