Ninane Ambrosius

Professor, Businesswoman, Mistress of Medieval and Fay Magic

Figure of Heart and Stone:

Ninane - Fey

Height - 5'7" Weight - 120 pounds
Hair - Moonlight Silver, down to waist, bangs that sweep over left eye
Eyes - Violet Blue, glows electric blue
Skin Complexion - Fair, a creamy off-white
Apparent Age - 25

Body Detail - A light body frame, but not as delicate as the typical Oberon's child. Has normal hands and feet, no claws or talons in natural form. Oval-shaped face with fair features, and a small nose (Titania's Nose). Pearly-white teeth and face is devoid of any birthmarks or blemishes.

Sleep Detail - Apparently active at all times, and doesn't need sleep. At least, no one has ever seen Ninane sleep, with the exception of a rare few individuals.

Diet - Ninane needs half as much sustenance than a normal human of her build. However, she is very fond of partaking of various sweets, but never gains a pound from over eating. She has a particular fondness for hot lemon punch and cherry tarts.

Psychological Profile - The fairie is normally very reserved, but is bent to frequent bouts of mischief and mayhem. Unlike most fair folk, Ninane prefers to walk rather than take advantage of her kind's natural ability to break the law of gravity. She does take to the air when threatened or excited. Would rather flee than face a direct confrontation, and often teleports out of jams. (Goes POOF). Sometimes lets her mothering instinct get the best of her, especially when dealing with the Magus, her son. HATES being ignored, and will create a display of magic or do an outrageous act to gain attention.

Special Abilities - Ninane is a Fey, with all of the special abilities of that race, the most notable being FairMagic. She prefers to use transformation, healing, and electricity spells, and has mastered every spell pertaining to her three favorite disciplines.

Special Skills - After a couple thousand years of life, Ninane has the uncanny knack for taunting and insulting people. She can embarrass anyone of any race or species, to either provoke an attack or make them flee in shame. She will usually reserve this skill for particularly annoying young men, truck drivers in particular.

Parentage and Historical Heritage - Born in 520, Ninane is the youngest biological child of Oberon and Titania. She came into the mortal world while her parents were in mortal form, but that did not hinder her magical talent in the slightest. In fact, when she was returned to Avalon a few days after her birth, the island itself bonded to her soul, making her, in essence, the spirit of Avalon itself; putting her on a level with Oberon himself. Because of this great power, she was sent to live in the mortal world until she was grown, with her brother, Puck, (the second youngest of the true-born) as her protector should she ever need him. She lived as a human in the court of King Arthur for most of her younger years, and it was there that she met her first husband, Mordred Pendragon. When she was 16 in mortal years, she and the young prince were wed. Three years, and a pair of twin sons later, came the battle on the field known as Camlann, where Mordred killed and was killed by Arthur Pendragon. Ninane has been cold to the traditional Briton King ever since. 15 years later, she lost both of her sons to battles, but she has kept a careful, if distant, eye on the descendants of her children.

For 5 centuries, she traveled around Europe, flitting from place to place. Finally, in the mid-10th century, she settled in Scotland where she became known as a sorceress of great power. She was eventually called to Castle Wyvern by Prince Malcolm I as an advisor in matters dealing with Gargoyles. Also during this time, Cornielius Falkova, otherwise known as the Archmage, became enamored with the attractive "young" fay, and wanted her beauty and power to be his own. He obtained an edict from the Prince, forcing Ninane to marry him. It is her power which augmented the Grimorum Arcanorum so that the spells could not only be cast on gargoyles, but on humans and fay as well. A few years later, the fay secretly bore a son to the Archmage, whom she named Luthyran, but the child would not hear that name for very long. Soon rumors started about the strange child at the castle, and that he might not be all human. Cornelius suspected the truth, and nearly killed Ninane in a fit of pique. With the help of her friend, the gargoyle who later would be known as Hudson, she turned her injuries to an advantage, pretending to die so that her son might be spared any difficulty. Then she fled and never talked to the Archmage or her son again, escaping on the back of a foreigner's wagon. Luthyran became known as simply the Magus, and he trained under the Archmage, oblivious to his parentage. He never knew that truth until he traveled to Avalon after the Massacre of Castle Morray.

During her years at Castle Wyvern, Ninane was also a surrogate mother to Goliath. The leader of the Manhattan Clan never realized that the kindly brood mother that no one could explain was actually a disguised Fey. Ninane leader Elder, who promised to never tell the truth about Goliath's watcher. When the Wyvern Clan was nearly destroyed and the Magus cast his spell of Eternal Slumber, the Fey traveled back to Avalon and visited the island for a couple of centuries. From the 1200's to 1800's, Ninane traveled the world disguised as a bluebird, where she witnessed hundreds of major events. She also unintentionally seeded the myth of "The Bluebird of Happiness", a thing that she chides herself for letting happen. She personally witnessed the Renaissance, the Age of Exploration, America's Birth, and the Victorian Era, all under different human forms.

In the 1970's, Ninane decided to start yet another life. She still appeared young enough to go to high school, and did so. It was there that she first met Abe Smith, an exchange student from America. Watching him, closely, something about him reminded her of gargoyles, so one afternoon, she lured him into concealment and POOFed him down to his underwear, exposing the wings and talons of Abram Wintersmith. The two were friends from that time forward, since she didn't mind what he was. However, when he went back to the States, she had to stay behind to "finish her education", and eventually they fell out of touch.

In the late 1980's, she ran into David Xanatos at Oxford, where he was an undergraduate studying literature and marketing. The two became fast friends, both of them being ambitious and having a lot of the same sense of humor. When Xanatos would get too serious, she would remind him to cheer up, and he would calm her down if she got extremely out of hand. They had many fun plots they carried out, and when graduation came around, the two kept in touch as just friends.

She started a business of her own, Ambrose Incorporated, and imaging and copying industry intended to outdo both Kodak and Xerox, and she has so far met with moderate success. It came as a complete shock to her when, during a business meeting with Xanatos, her brother Puck, disguised as Owen Burnett, sauntered in with some stock reports. The two siblings embraced and Puck revealed himself to David Xanatos. The deal made thereafter is still being carried out.

Current Sketch - Ninane is still a drifter and a flirt. She has spent the last quarter-century teleporting herself around the earth, and has enjoyed the many sights that modern culture has to offer. Currently, her business is in New York and she will occasionally cause some of her own brand of mischief. Often, Ninane visits the Eyrie building to reacquaint herself with Hudson, and her foster hatchling, Goliath, as well as forming friendships with the youngsters of the clan. She is also "helping" her brother Puck in the education of young Alexander Xanatos, as well as continuing to attempt to keep up the image of being a normal businesswoman. She is currently unattached, and can't really be blamed, considering the disastrous results of her last marriage hundreds of years ago. What she does next will always keep people of all species guessing.
