Over time, there happened a series of surprising revelations about the aloof M . She was revealed to be the little sister of the team's most dangerous opponent, Emplate . The silent aborigine teleporter, Gateway was her mentor . Most strangely was that she would go into autistic state when she is thinking deeply .

Many consider Monet as the most mature of the team but that is into consideration since now sometimes she would shift from her sophisticated attitude to a more childlike one .

These revelations lead to much suspicion among the teammates especially Jubilee and White Queen . Of all of the team, Monet gets along best with the headmaster, Sean Cassidy AKA Banshee and her classmate, Everett Thomas AKA Synch . The revelation in Generation-X #31 didn't help because it was revealed that Monet was actually two girls . The girls' names were Nicole and Claudette . The twins combined to be come Monet in which her and Emplate combined to become Mplate ! They were seperated and maybe soon everything will be sorted out. Later, it was revealed that Emplate transformed her into Penance when she laughed at him . Her sisters, Claudette and Nicole merged and impersonated Monet in order to not arose worry for their father . Recently, she regained her true from when Claudette and Nicole took over Penance's form .
