Chapter I
Garry was slowly walking along the road, holding his beloved Janeth in his arms. The sun was setting and they were leading to his house. He kisses her softly when they arrived there. They entered the house and sat down on his bed. They started kissing very badly and suddenly they found themselves lying in bed together smiling to each other. Suddenly the phone rang.
"Damn! I hate this thing! Yes, I hope it is absolutely necessary!"
He heard a female voice on the other side.
"Of course it is! Your younger sister is disappeared! Are you alone by the way?"
"No, Janeth is with me!"
"O.K. I ment someone who doesnīt belong to the family! Could you two come over here as fast as possible? Your father and I are so worried about her!"
"O.K. We are coming!", he answered.
"Damn! My younger sister Patricia is disappeared and my mother has asked for us to come!"
"Arenīt you worried about her?", Janeth asked.
"Of course I am! But always these things happen when we want to be alone!"
An hour later they arrived at his parentsī house. They entered. His mother was sitting at the kitchen table with red eyes, because she had cried very heavily.
"When have you seen her the last time?", Janeth asked.
"This morning!". Garryīs mother wiped.
Janeth saw a newspaper article lying on the table. "Missing child found dead". Janeth understood Garryīs mother.
"Have you called the police?", Janeth asked.
His mother nodded.
"Garry, lets go out and lets search her!"
"O.K. Mum, we are out searching her. Can I take Dads handy so you can phone if necessary?"
She nodded again.
They left.
"Where shall we start searching?", Garry asked.
Janeth pointed to the left and they left.
Chapter II
After two hours they sat down on a park bench.
"Your sister seems to have lost a lot of blood! But beside that she is O.K. To be honest: I have never seen wounds like this before!", the doctor told them.
"Where could she be?"
"I donīt know!", Janeth answered and kissed him softly.
"Hey this girl over there looks like her!"
They jumped up and ran to the girl, sitting in the grass beside the way. She had put her head on her hands.
"Patricia?!", Janeth asked.
The girl looked up to her. Her face was very pale and she didnīt answer.
"It is her!", Garry cried.
They bend down to her.
"What has happened Patricia? Why didnīt you come home from school?", Garry asked.
"Shall I tell what I do remember?"
"Of course you shall!", Janeth answered.
"I left the house around 6.30 a.m.! It was still dark. I was leading to the bus station. I missed the bus and so I had to wait twenty minutes for the next. Suddenly a man, around 30 or 35 arrived at the station and looked at me. I knew he was looking at me the following five minutes. So I asked him if he had a problem, but he said he didnīt and asked for the time. I told him. Suddenly he moved closer. He looked at my face. Then when I turned to him again he looked into my eyes. He had so wonderful brown eyes. Suddenly I felt a soft burning in my heart. I saw he got nearer and then I felt his lips on my neck but I couldnīt react. I think my minds faded away because when I opened my eyes again he was gone and the bus appeared. On my way back in the bus, I saw him again. He sat beside me. Four stations before mine he stood up. My mind told me to follow him. I wondered why I got off with him because it was still a little dark; it is this cloudy today; like at early evenings. I followed him through this park and when we came here he looked again into my eyes and again I felt his lips on my neck. He left me sitting here. I donīt know how long I was sitting here but it must have been hours. I was too weak to stand up so I remained sitting here. And now you appeared."
Garry looked at Janeth and they both knew they were thinking the same. They were worried if the guy was either HIV positive or a drug dealer.
Janeth approached Patricia and they looked at her neck. They saw two round wounds. Janeth pointed with her head to them and they knew they should go to the doctorsī. So they held her one at each side and went to their doctor.
"And what should we do with her?"
"She should stay in bed or at least in the house until she feels stronger again. Let her watch TV or whatever she wants. If someone wanted her blood you came in time; maybe otherwise she would have been dead!"
"O.K.! Thanks doc! Come on Garry, lets take Patricia and lets go!"
They left, leading to the home.
Chapter III
Garryīs mom didnīt want to let go of Patricia when she held her in her arms.
The film ended and Janeth and Garry accompanied Patricia into her room and lay her into bed.
In the middle of the night Janeth woke up and heard a noise from Patriciaīs room. She woke Garry.
Garryīs mother woke them.
Twenty minutes later they had finished their breakfast. Janeth and Garry went to Patriciaīs room. She was lying in bed pretending to sleep.
The whole day they spent thinking what they should do but found no solution.
"Mummy, may I watch TV?", Patricia asked.
"Of course you can!", she answered.
Patricia was sitting in front of the TV set when she suddenly shouted:
"Mum, could I watch "The fearless vampire killers"?"
"Patricia, you were always frightened because of the things Garry and Janeth like to watch! But if they do allow you to take the video you may!"
Garry and Janeth sat down on the sofa, taking Patricia between them. Garry pressed a button and the film started. When the vampire lord bit the farmers daughter Patricia suddenly shouted out in great joy: "Wonderful! Suck her blood! Make her one of yours! And donīt forget me! Make me one of yours too!"
Janeth looked at Garry very surprised. Garry shook his head because of her asking look. He didnīt know why she did this. Before she was always frightened of scenes like that and she always was afraid she could be bitten herself one day.
"Could you open the window. It is quit hot in here!"
Janeth opened the window. After some minutes Janeth and Gary left. They went into his room. Although he had his own flat he still had a room here, with a big bed. Sometimes Janeth and he slept there. They got undressed and went to bed themselves.
"Do you hear that?", she asked.
He nodded. They listened.
"My vampire lord please come and suck my blood! Make me one of yours! Hey there you are! Thanks you came. Will you suck my blood now and make me one of yours. Why not? Will you come again and will you make me a little vampire by tomorrow? Wonderful! Uhhh - Yeah! This feels so wonderful! How does blood taste? In two days I will know myself! Thanks for making me a little more immortal! Please do not forget to come tomorrow!"
"What is she talking about?", Janeth asked.
"Perhaps her fantasy! Or do you think vampire lords are real?"
"No, of course not!" She smiled.
Some minutes later and they were asleep again, lying there arm in arm, body beside body.
"Are you already up? Patricia is still so weak; I do think she is weaker than yesterday! Could you come? Perhaps Janeth could have a look at her! She is a studying doctor!"
Janeth smiled. "I am studying to become a doctor one day, but now I am no doctor, but I will have a look at her!", she answered.
She stood up and put on her slip and her bra.
"Do you have to get up already now? Is there no chance for snuggling?", he asked.
"Didnīt you hear your mother?", she asked.
He got up too and started dressing.
Ten minutes later they sat at the kitchen table eating their breakfast.
"Do you think it could be something serious?"
"I donīt know!", Janeth answered.
"Hey, Patricia! Let me have a look at you! I know you are awake and I donīt want to hurt you!"
She approached Patricia and wanted to look at her neck when she suddenly hissed at her.
"Hey, stop that! I donīt hurt you! I only want to see if you are right!"
But Patricia tried to bite into her hand every time she wanted to touch her.
Janeth looked at Garry. "What shall I do? I canīt check her!"
"I tell you to be friend with me because a vampire as an enemy is very dangerous!"
Garry looked at Janeth and laughed.
"Stop fooling us! You are no vampire and even if you do pretend to, you are none!"
"I am! Or why do you think I do have these wounds? Last night my vampire lord came and bit me again! This night he will make me like him. If you donīt belief me come tomorrow morning and then you can see my sharp fangs. But watch out or I will suck your blood too!"
She laughed at Garry and Janeth. They left.
"I couldnīt check her because she always wanted to bite me! Sorry!"
"Itīs alright!", her mother answered.
The doctor came with the same result. Patricia wanted to bite the doctor because she was a vampire.
"I am sorry but I canīt help you as long as she doesnīt work together with us!", he told and left.
Garryīs mother walked to Patriciaīs room.
"Why are you so stupid? They donīt want to harm you! They want to help you!"
"A vampire needs no help; and I am a vampire! Do you want to feed me?", Patricia asked.
"Donīt be this silly! This isnīt funny anymore!"
Patricia started hissing at her mother.
She left.
"Do you think the vampire thing could be true?", Garryīs mother asked.
"Of course not! Why should it be true??"
"Donīt you remember the round wounds on her neck? They are like in the films! I donīt belief in that either but what should I think when I do look at her neck?", Garry asked.
"I know!", Janeth answered.
"Do you think the film was too much for her?", Janeth asked.
"Maybe! We will see! I do promise I will never allow her to see a film like that again! She never wanted to see a vampire film before yesterday! Isnīt that strange?"
They lay on the bed listening to music and snuggled. They knew Garryīs sister needed their help but what should they do if she didnīt allow them to help her?
Around 12.45 a.m. they went to bed. Suddenly they heard a noise from Patriciaīs room like last night. They got quiet and listened.
"Come to me my vampire lord! I am ready to offer you my soul and my blood. Make me one of yours! There you are finally! Do you take me with you this night? Yes? Wonderful! You do want to have the rest of my blood? Feed you! Ah - this feels so wonderful! I fell myself drifting away already. How long will it take to become immortal?"
Suddenly Janeth and Garry heard another voice. They looked at each other and jumped up from bed, jumped in their underwear and ran to Patriciaīs room. They listened standing in front of the door.
"Drink my blood. It will make you immortal! Everything beside this will happen itself. Drink my daughter! Join me!", a male voice said.
Suddenly it got quiet. They heard Patricia breathing heavily. Garry opened the door to her room and they saw a person jumping out the window. They ran to the window having a look for the man. They knew he couldnīt escape very fast because her room was in the first floor and you could only get to it climbing up a "ladder" placed there for the plants. But it must have been broken when someone tries to climb up. They looked out of the window and they saw nobody. They looked at the "ladder" and it was like the day before. They saw no damage. Suddenly Patricia spoke to them.
"Hey, mortals! Are you come to feed me? Do you want to be immortal too?"
"Now itīs enough! Stop it!", Garry told her. "Who was this man? Have you seen him before?"
"Of course! He was my vampire lord! He made me one of his kind! He made me immortal!"
She smiled at them showing them her sharp fangs.
"Very funny! I know you do have some utilities like that for carneval but now remove them!"
"They are real! Do you want to taste them, beloved brother?", she still smiled at him.
"Hey, whatīs going on?", he asked, looking away from her. He had just looked into her eyes.
"What do you mean?", Janeth asked.
"My mind suddenly told me, I should go to her, offer her my blood and ask her to take me to feed her! It seemed someone tried to enter my thoughts!"
"Haha! That was me! I told you! I can prove it to you!"
Suddenly Janeth and Garry looked at each other and suddenly they both broke down. Some seconds later they stood up again.
"Hey, something must be true about all this, or why did this happen?", Janeth asked.
"Hey, where do you want to go? Patricia!", Garry asked.
"I am hungry! I do need blood!" She left without another word..
They followed and they found her standing there and having a piece of flesh in her mouth.
"What is she doing?", Garryīs mother asked.
"With fangs made of plastic you canīt do this! They are far too soft! You canīt bite into flesh with them!", Janeth told.
"You do mean these fangs are real? Do you know what you do want to make us belief? You do mean she is a vampire!", Garry asked.
She nodded.
Suddenly Patricia moved away quickly. She was hit by the rising sun.
"Is this prove enough?", Janeth asked.
They nodded.
"But why?!", her mother cried. "And what can we do?"
Nobody knew!
"I do promise one night I do come and take you with me! You are my friends and I do want to have you with me! As long as you donīt make me angry I donīt attack you! Please do not expose me to sunlight; this will kill me! Ahh!" She moved a little back.
"The cross! Itīs the cross, which harms her!"
When she approached Patricia she suddenly moved away and hissed at her.
"Whatīs the matter? I donīt want to harm you! I do want to put the cross away!"
"No, Janeth! No! I can read in your minds you all donīt belief in us! Donīt try to hold me back! Next night I will be gone! But I will return to feed and to take you with me!", she told and ran up the stairs to her room.
"Didnīt she tell she wanted to stay here?", her mother cried.
"Yes, but I think her immortal mind wasnīt developed properly! That was her mortal mind. A vampire never lives totally in the mortal world!", Janeth answered.
"You do mean she will really leave this night?"
They nodded. Garryīs mother started crying again.
"Even her promise she wants to fetch me one day and her promise to take me with her one day doesnīt help me getting along with this pain!"
"Do never think about feeding her with your blood!", Janeth warned.
"Why not? Thatīs the only way to be with my beloved daughter!", she answered.
