Type of Episode: Ticking Bomb.
Pre-Credits Scene: Wildman is in for a check-up on her baby.
How Does The Trouble Start?: Voyager finds the debris of a probe and investigates.
Impressive Characters: Torres and Janeway are impressive in this own. Torres just will not give up.
Impressive Acting: Kate Mulgrew.
Conflict: Paris is late for a meeting and Chakotay chews him out. With Janeway watching from the doorway.
Teamwork: Tuvok, Torres and Kim work well together when tracking the missile. But this one belongs to Torres. She takes on the missile singlehandedly, and wins.
Continuity: Wildman appears for one scene, heavily pregnant. Janeway wonders if Seska is somehow responsible when she first hears of the missile. Jonas is still leaking information to the Kazon. And Paris is still acting rebellious. In her talk with Paris, Torres talks about Chakotay in such a way that you could well believe she has feeligns for him.
Best Scene: Undoubtedly, the climax. Torres is on her back, her phaser in hand and the minutes have all ticked away.
Best Line: "Captain, thanks for everything." Paris to Janeway. Could have been his final words to her, had she blown up the ship. And that was how he wanted to part. Nice. Considering that, in retrospect, we know how she had taken him into her confidence and given him a vital mission.
"Who would have thought two years ago, after all those weeks we spent together, perfecting your programme, that we'd end up out here, trying to kill one another." Torres to Dreadnaught. Another very sad line.
Who Saves The Day? Torres.
Closing Scene: The episode closes hot on the heels of the tense finale, with Torres in sick-bay and Janeway summoning her crew back.
