identity crisis

N418

    25th November 1992 (approximately):

    AVERAGE.

In fact this one is a lot like last weeks. It takes an underused character and builds an interesting-enough story around them. Deanna came over very well last week and Geordi does the same this week. He is dynamic and heroic as he sets out to find out what ails him.

Best Scene: One the holodeck as Geordi puts the evidence together. This scene is both fascinating and creepy (for no good reason).

I found it very interesting that it was an old friend of Geordi's who brought him back, and not one of the people has been with for the last five years. Seems like old friends are the best friends. Geordi's instinct is to trust her because he has always gone to her when in trouble.

Best FX: When the Geordi-Thing attacks the guy in the transporter room.

Best Actor: Maryann Plunkett, who was very convincing no matter what she was called upon to do. Heck, I'd trust her, too!

Picard, Riker and Worf have very little to do. Beverly gets to play doctor (for a change?). Data, however, is added to. deHaas takes time to examine Data as he strives to solve the mystery and help his friend. Beverly needles him on his motivations.

Final thought: Not one to get excited over, but one that's worthwhile.
